I thashë Enes ibn Malikut: A i ngjyoste flokët i Dërguari i Allahut, paqja dhe lëvdatat e Allahut qofshin mbi të? Ai u përgjigj: Ai nuk arriti deri në atë shkallë, pasi kishte thinja vetëm në tëmtha, ndërsa Ebu Bekri i ngjyoste me kënë dhe ketem.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ‏:‏ هَلْ خَضَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ لَمْ يَبْلُغْ ذَلِكَ، إِنَّمَا كَانَ شَيْبًا فِي صُدْغَيْهِ وَلَكِنْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، خَضَبَ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ‏.‏
Qatada reports that he said:
‘I said to Anas ibn Malik:
“Did Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) dye his hair?” He replied: ‘He did not get to that, for he was grayed only in the hair covering his temples, but Abu Bakr (may Allah the Exalted be well pleased with him) dyed his hair with henna and a herbal mixture called katam.”

Në kokën e të Dërguarit të Allahut (paqja dhe bekimi i Allahut qofshin mbi të) dhe në mjekrën e tij, numërova vetëm katërmbëdhjetë qime të bardha.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالا‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ مَا عَدَدْتُ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلِحْيَتِهِ، إِلا أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ‏.‏
Anas ibn Malik said:
"On the head of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) and his beard, I counted only fourteen white hairs.”

Na ka treguar Muhamed ibn el-Muthenna, i cili ka thënë: Na ka lajmëruar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shube, nga Simak ibn Harbi, i cili ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar Xhabir ibn Semuren, teksa u pyet për thinjat e të Dërguarit të Allahut (paqja dhe bekimi i Allahut qofshin mbi të), të thoshte: Kur e lyente kokën me vaj, nuk i dukeshin thinjat, ndërsa kur nuk e lyente, i dukeshin pak.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، وَقَدْ سُئِلَ عَنْ شَيْبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم، فَقَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ إِذَا دَهَنَ رَأْسَهُ لَمْ يُرَ مِنْهُ شَيْبٌ، وَإِذَا لَمْ يَدْهِنْ رُئِيَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ‏.‏
Jabir ibn Samura was asked about the grayness of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace), so he said:
"When he oiled his head, no grayness was visible, and when he did not apply oil, some was visible.”

Na ka treguar Muhamed bin Amër bin el-Velid el-Kindij el-Kufij, i cili tha: Na ka treguar Jahja bin Ademi, nga Sheriku, nga Ubejdullah bin Umeri, nga Nafiu, nga Abdullah bin Umeri, i cili ka thënë: Thinja e të Dërguarit të Allahut (paqja dhe bekimi i Allahut qofshin mbi të) ishte rreth njëzet qime të bardha.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ الْكِنْدِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ‏:‏ إِنَّمَا كَانَ شَيْبُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوًا مِنْ عِشْرِينَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ‏.‏
'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said:
"The hoariness of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) was merely about twenty white hairs."

Ebu Bekri tha: "O i Dërguari i Allahut, jeni thinjur!" Ai tha: "Më kanë thinjur Hudi, El-Vakia, El-Murselat, 'Amme jetesaelun' dhe 'Idhash-shemsu kuvviret'."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَدْ شِبْتَ، قَالَ‏:‏ شَيَّبَتْنِي هُودٌ، وَالْوَاقِعَةُ، وَالْمُرْسَلاتُ، وَعَمَّ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ، وَإِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ‏.‏
Ibn Abbas said:
Abu Bakr said: “O Messenger of Allah, you have grayed!” He said: 'I have been made gray-haired by Hud (Al-Qur'an; 11)), the calamity (Al-Qur'an; 56)), the winds sent forth (Al-Qur'an; 77)). what will they question one another about?’ (Al-Qur'an; 74)). and ‘when the sun is overthrown’ (Al-Qur'an; 81)'."

Na ka treguar Sufjan ibn Vekiu, i cili tha: Na ka treguar Muhamed ibn Bishri, nga Ali ibn Salihu, nga Ebu Is’haku, nga Ebu Xhuhajfe, i cili tha: Ata thanë: “O i Dërguari i Allahut, po shohim se jeni thinjur!” Ai tha: “Më ka thinjur Hudi dhe simotrat e saj.”
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ قَالُوا‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، نَرَاكَ قَدْ شِبْتَ، قَالَ‏:‏ قَدْ شَيَّبَتْنِي هُودٌ وَأَخَوَاتُهَا‏.‏
Abu Juhaifa said:
"O Messenger of Allah we notice that you have turned gray!’ He said: ‘The Hud and its sisters have caused me to turn gray!’”

Na ka treguar Ali ibn Huxhr, i cili tha: Na ka treguar Shuajb ibn Safvan, nga Abdulmelik ibn Umejri, nga Ijad ibn Lekit el-Ixhli, nga Ebu Rimthe et-Tejmi, nga Tejm er-Rrebab, i cili ka thënë: Erdha te Profeti (paqja dhe bekimi i Allahut qofshin mbi të) së bashku me një djalë timin. Ai tha: M'u tregua ai dhe, kur e pashë, thashë: Ky është Profeti i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimi i Allahut qofshin mbi të). Ai kishte veshur dy rroba të gjelbra, kishte flokë që tashmë i kishte kapluar thinja dhe thinjat e tij ishin të kuqe.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ الْعِجْلِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ التَّيْمِيِّ، تَيْمِ الرَّبَابِ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، وَمَعِي ابْنٌ لِي، قَالَ‏:‏ فَأَرَيْتُهُ، فَقُلْتُ لَمَّا رَأَيْتُهُ‏:‏ هَذَا نَبِيُّ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ، وَلَهُ شَعَرٌ قَدْ عَلاهُ الشَّيْبُ، وَشَيْبُهُ أَحْمَرُ‏.‏
Abu’r-Rimtha at-Taimi (the servant of ar-Rabab) said:
"I came to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) with a son of mine, who said: 'So I was shown him, and I said when I saw him: ‘This is Allah’s Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace). He is wearing two green garments, and he has hair that is topped with grayness, and its grayness is reddish'.”

Na ka treguar Ahmed b. Meniu, i cili tha: Na ka treguar Surejxh b. En-Nu'man, i cili tha: Na ka treguar Hammad b. Seleme, nga Simak b. Harbi, i cili tha: I thanë Xhabir b. Semures: A kishte thinja në kokën e të Dërguarit të Allahut (paqja dhe mëshira e Allahut qofshin mbi të)? Ai tha: Në kokën e të Dërguarit të Allahut (paqja dhe mëshira e Allahut qofshin mbi të) nuk kishte thinja, përveç disa qimeve në ndarjen e flokëve, të cilat, kur ai i lyente flokët me vaj, vaji i mbulonte ato.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ قِيلَ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ‏:‏ أَكَانَ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَيْبٌ‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، شَيْبٌ إِلا شَعَرَاتٌ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَأْسِهِ، إِذَا ادَّهَنَ وَارَاهُنَّ الدُّهْنُ‏.‏
Jabir ibn Samura was asked:
“Was there any grayness of the head of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace)?" He replied: "There was no grayness on the head of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace), except some hairs in the part of his hair when he applied oil and the oil made them visible.”
