حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَدَعَا بِدُعَاءٍ كَثِيرٍ لاَ نَحْفَظُهُ، فَقُلْنَا: دَعَوْتَ بِدُعَاءٍ لاَ نَحْفَظُهُ؟ فَقَالَ: سَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ يَجْمَعُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ لَكُمْ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ مِمَّا سَأَلَكَ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ صلى الله عليه وسلم، وَنَسْتَعِيذُكَ مِمَّا اسْتَعَاذَكَ مِنْهُ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ صلى الله عليه وسلم، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْمُسْتَعَانُ وَعَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ، وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ، أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ.

Abu Umama said, "We were with the Prophet, may Allah bless him
and grant him peace, and he made many supplications which we did not remember.
We said, 'You make supplications which we do not remember.' He said, 'I
will inform you of something which will combine all of them for you:
"O
Allah, We ask You for what Your Prophet Muhammad asked You, and we seek
refuge with You from what Your Prophet Muhammad sought refuge. O Allah,
You are the One to whom one turns for help and You are the One who brings
it about. There is no power nor strength except by Allah," or words to
that effect.'"
Transmeton Ebu Umame: Ishim te Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) dhe ai bëri shumë dua të cilat nuk mund t'i mbanim mend. Ne i thamë: "U lute me aq shumë dua saqë nuk mund t'i mbanim mend?" Ai tha: "A t'ju tregoj diçka që i përmbledh të gjitha ato për ju? Thuani: O Allah, ne Të kërkojmë atë që Të ka kërkuar Pejgamberi Yt Muhamedi (s.a.v.s.), dhe kërkojmë mbrojtje te Ti nga ajo prej së cilës ka kërkuar mbrojtje Pejgamberi Yt Muhamedi (s.a.v.s.). O Allah, Ti je Ai prej të Cilit kërkohet ndihmë dhe Tek Ti është arritja e qëllimit. Nuk ka fuqi e as forcë përveçse me ndihmën e Allahut", ose siç ka thënë ai.
