1306 - Na ka treguar Junusi, na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, na ka treguar El-Mes'udi, nga El-Velid bin Seri', nga Amër bin Hurejthi, i cili ka thënë: «Kam falur namazin e sabahut pas Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) dhe ai lexoi: ﴿إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ﴾ (Kur dielli të jetë mbështjellë), e kur arriti te ky ajet: ﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ * وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ﴾ (Dhe pasha natën kur ajo largohet, dhe pasha agimin kur ai fillon të shfaqet), thashë me vete: Çfarë do të thotë nata kur ajo largohet dhe agimi kur ai fillon të shfaqet?».

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ
حُرَيْثٍ ، قَالَ: «صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - الصُّبْحَ فَقَرَأَ
بِـ ﴿إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ﴾، فَلَمَّا أَتَى عَلَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ:
﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ * وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ﴾ قُلْتُ فِي
نَفْسِي: مَا اللَّيْلُ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ وَالصُّبْحُ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ؟».
1306 - Yunus narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Al-Mas'udi narrated to us, from Al-Walid bin Sari', from 'Amr bin Hurayth, who said: 'I prayed the morning prayer (Subh) behind the Prophet (pbuh), and he recited: {When the sun is wrapped up}. When he reached this verse: {And by the night as it departs * And by the dawn as it breathes}, I said to myself: What is 'the night as it departs' and 'the dawn as it breathes'?'
