1327 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibrahim b. Sa'di, nga ez-Zuhriu, nga Abdurrahman b. Ma'iz el-Amiri, nga Sufjan b. Abdullah eth-Thekafi, i cili ka thënë: «I thashë: O i Dërguari i Allahut, më trego për një çështje që t'i përmbahem asaj! Tha: Thuaj: Besova Allahun, pastaj qëndro i paluhatur (në rrugën e drejtë). Tha: I thashë: O i Dërguari i Allahut, cila është gjëja më e madhe që i frikësohesh për mua? Tha: Atëherë ai tregoi me dorën e tij drejt gjuhës së vet».

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ
الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَاعِزٍ الْعَامِرِيِّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ
اللهِ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، قَالَ: «قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَخْبِرْنِي
بِأَمْرٍ أَعْتَصِمُ بِهِ! قَالَ: قُلْ آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ، ثُمَّ اسْتَقِمْ،
قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا أَكْثَرُ مَا تَخَافُ عَلَيَّ؟
قَالَ: فَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى لِسَانِ نَفْسِهِ».
1327 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ma'iz al-'Amiri, from Sufyan ibn 'Abdullah al-Thaqafi, who said:
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (saw), tell me of a matter that I may hold fast to!' He (saw) said: 'Say: I believe in Allah, then remain steadfast.'
I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (saw), what is the thing you fear most for me?' He (saw) said: Then he pointed with his hand to his own tongue."
