1363 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Abdullah bin el-Mubaraku, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Safuan bin Amër es-Seksiki, nga Ebu el-Muthenna el-Mulejki, nga Utbe bin Abd es-Sulemi - i cili ka qenë shok i Pejgamberit - se i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë:
«Të vrarët janë tre llojesh: Një burrë besimtar që doli me veten dhe pasurinë e tij, u ndesh me armikun dhe luftoi derisa u vra; ky është i sprovuari (i zgjedhuri) që qëndron në tendën e Allahut nën Arshin e Tij, të cilin Pejgamberët nuk e tejkalojnë përveçse me gradën e pejgamberisë.
Një burrë besimtar që i ka bërë padrejtësi vetes me gjynahe dhe gabime, u ndesh me armikun dhe luftoi derisa u vra; kjo është një pastrim që ia fshiu gjynahet dhe gabimet e tij, sepse shpata është fshirëse e gabimeve, dhe atij i thuhet: 'Hyr nga cilado prej tetë dyerve të Xhenetit që dëshiron', sepse ai ka tetë dyer, ndërsa Xhehenemi ka shtatë dyer, disa prej të cilave janë më të rënda se të tjerat.
Dhe një burrë munafik (hipokrit) që doli me veten dhe pasurinë e tij, luftoi derisa u vra; ai është në Zjarr, sepse shpata nuk e fshin hipokrizinë».

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ
بْنُ عَمْرٍو السَّكْسَكِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى الْمُلَيْكِيِّ ،
عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ السُّلَمِيِّ - وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ - أَنَّ
رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - قَالَ: «الْقَتْلَى ثَلَاثَةٌ: رَجُلٌ مُؤْمِنٌ
خَرَجَ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ فَلَقِيَ الْعَدُوَّ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى
يُقْتَلَ فَذَلِكَ الْمُمْتَحَنُ فِي خَيْمَةِ اللهِ تَحْتَ عَرْشِهِ لَا
يَفْضُلُهُ النَّبِيُّونَ إِلَّا بِدَرَجَةِ النُّبُوَّةِ، وَرَجُلٌ
مُؤْمِنٌ قَرَفَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ وَالْخَطَايَا لَقِيَ
الْعَدُوَّ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى يُقْتَلَ فَذَلِكَ مَصْمَصَةٌ مَحَتْ
ذُنُوبَهُ وَخَطَايَاهُ، إِنَّ السَّيْفَ مَحَّاءٌ لِلْخَطَايَا، وَقِيلَ
لَهُ: ادْخُلْ مِنْ أَيِّ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ الثَّمَانِيَةِ شِئْتَ
فَإِنَّهَا ثَمَانِيَةُ أَبْوَابٍ، وَلِجَهَنَّمَ سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابٍ
بَعْضُهَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ بَعْضٍ، وَرَجُلٌ مُنَافِقٌ خَرَجَ بِنَفْسِهِ
وَمَالِهِ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى يُقْتَلَ فَذَاكَ فِي النَّارِ، إِنَّ
السَّيْفَ لَا يَمْحُو النِّفَاقَ».
1363 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Abdullah bin al-Mubarak narrated to us, he said: Safwan bin 'Amr al-Saksaki narrated to us, from Abu al-Muthanna al-Mulayki, from 'Utbah bin 'Abd al-Sulami - and he was a companion - that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "The slain are of three types: A believing man who goes out with his life and his wealth, meets the enemy and fights until he is killed; that is the tested one (al-mumtahan) in the tent of Allah under His Throne, the Prophets do not excel over him except by the degree of Prophethood. And a believing man who burdened himself with sins and mistakes, meets the enemy and fights until he is killed; that is a purification (masmasah) that wiped away his sins and mistakes, for indeed the sword is a wiper of mistakes, and it is said to him: 'Enter from whichever of the eight gates of Paradise you wish,' for indeed it has eight gates, and Hell has seven gates, some of them more severe than others. And a hypocritical man who goes out with his life and his wealth and fights until he is killed; that one is in the Fire, for indeed the sword does not wipe away hypocrisy."
