1375 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shube, nga Jezid bin Humejri, i cili ka thënë: Kam dëgjuar Abdullah bin Busr es-Sulemiun të thotë: "Na erdhi i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.), kështu që nëna ime i shtroi një rrobë të trashë (katife) dhe ai u ul mbi të. Pastaj ajo i solli hurma, e ai filloi t'i hante dhe i hidhte bërthamat kështu - Ebu Davudi i rrotulloi dy gishtat e tij, treguesin dhe të mesmin - ashtu siç e hidhte bërthamën mbi gishtin e tij. Pastaj kërkoi diçka për të pirë, piu dhe ia dha atij që ishte në të djathtë të tij. Atëherë nëna ime tha: O i Dërguari i Allahut, lute Allahun për ne! Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) tha: 'O Allah, bekoji ata në atë që u ke dhënë, falini ata dhe mëshiroji ata'."

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ
عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ بُسْرٍ السُّلَمِيَّ ، قَالَ: «أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ -
ﷺ - فَأَلْقَتْ لَهُ أُمِّي قَطِيفَةً فَجَلَسَ عَلَيْهَا، فَأَتَتْهُ
بِتَمْرٍ فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ وَيَقُولُ بِالنَّوَى هَكَذَا - وَلَوَى أَبُو
دَاوُدَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةَ وَالْوُسْطَى - كَمَا يَرْمِي
بِالنَّوَاةِ فَوْقَ إِصْبَعِهِ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ
سَقَى الَّذِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَقَالَتْ أُمِّي: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ادْعُ
اللهَ لَنَا! فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا
رَزَقْتَهُمْ، وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ».
1375 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Yazid bin Khumayr, he said: I heard 'Abdullah bin Busr al-Sulami say: "The Messenger of Allah (saw) came to us, so my mother threw a velvet cloth for him and he sat on it. Then she brought him some dates, and he began to eat and flick the pits like this - and Abu Dawud twisted his index and middle fingers - as one throws a pit over his finger. Then he called for a drink and drank, then he gave it to the one on his right. My mother said: 'O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah for us!' So the Prophet (saw) said: 'O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them, forgive them, and have mercy on them.'"
