1409 - Na ka treguar Junusi, ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, ka thënë:
Na ka treguar El-Esuad bin Shejbani, nga Ebu Neufel bin Ebi Akrebi, i cili ka thënë: «Babai im e pyeti të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) rreth agjërimit, e i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: Agjëro një ditë në muaj. Ai tha: O i Dërguari i Allahut, më shto, më shto! Ai tha: Agjëro një ditë në muaj. Ai tha: O i Dërguari i Allahut, më shto, më shto! Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: Agjëro një ditë në muaj. Ai tha: O i Dërguari i Allahut, unë kam fuqi, prandaj më shto! Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: Agjëro dy ditë në muaj. Ai tha: O i Dërguari i Allahut, unë kam fuqi, prandaj më shto! - derisa mendova se nuk do të më shtonte më - e i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: Agjëro tri ditë në muaj».

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَوْفَلِ بْنِ أَبِي
عَقْرَبٍ ، قَالَ: «سَأَلَ أَبِي رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - عَنِ الصَّوْمِ،
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: صُمْ يَوْمًا مِنَ الشَّهْرِ، فَقَالَ: يَا
رَسُولَ اللهِ، زِدْنِي زِدْنِي! قَالَ: صُمْ يَوْمًا مِنَ الشَّهْرِ،
فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، زِدْنِي زِدْنِي! فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
صُمْ يَوْمًا مِنَ الشَّهْرِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ بِي
قُوَّةً فَزِدْنِي! فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: صُمْ يَوْمَيْنِ مِنَ
الشَّهْرِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ بِي قُوَّةً فَزِدْنِي!
حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يَزِيدَنِي، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: صُمْ
ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ».
1409 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Aswad bin Shayban narrated to us, from Abu Nawfal bin Abi Aqrab, who said: "My father asked the Messenger of Allah (saw) about fasting, so the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'Fast one day of the month.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, give me more, give me more!' He said: 'Fast one day of the month.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, give me more, give me more!' So the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'Fast one day of the month.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have the strength, so give me more!' So the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'Fast two days of the month.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have the strength, so give me more!' until I thought that he would not give me any more, then the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'Fast three days of the month.'"
