Ai tha: Do t'ju tregoj ashtu siç i tregova Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) kur më pyeti. Pastaj mora heshtën time, nuk vrava askënd tjetër e as nuk luftova. Kur u ktheva tek ai (pronari), u lirova.

1410 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Abdul Aziz bin Abi Salamah narrated to us, he said: Abdullah bin al-Fadl al-Hashimi narrated to us, from Sulayman bin Yasar, from Ubaydullah bin Adiy bin al-Khiyar, who said:

"We were returning from the land of the Romans, and when we approached Homs, we said: 'What if we visit Wahshi and ask him about the killing of Hamza?' We met a man and mentioned that to him, and he said: 'He is a man who has been overcome by wine; if you find him sober, he will tell you anything you ask, but if you find him drinking, do not ask him.' So we set out until we reached him. Something had been laid out for him at his door, and he was sitting there sober. He said: 'Ibn al-Khiyar?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'I have not seen you since your mother carried you to me at Dhu Tuwa when she gave birth to you; I saw your feet and recognized them.' He (Ubaydullah) said: I said: 'We have come to you to ask you about the killing of Hamza!'

He said: 'I will tell you both just as I told the Messenger of Allah (saw) when he asked me. I was a slave to the family of Mut'im, and the nephew of Mut'im said to me: "If you kill Hamza for my uncle, you are free!" So I set out on the day of Uhud with my javelin; I am a man from Abyssinia and I play with it as they do. I went out that day intending to kill no one and fight no one except Hamza. I went out and suddenly I saw Hamza, looking like a grey camel; no one stood before him except that he struck them down with his sword. I was in awe of him. Then a man from the children of Siba' rushed towards him, and I heard Hamza say: "Come to me, O son of a circumciser of clitorises!" Then he charged at him and killed him. I began to hide from him, taking cover behind a tree with my javelin, until I got a clear shot at him. I shook the javelin until I was satisfied with it, then I released it, and it struck him between his breasts. He tried to get up but could not, and I killed him. Then I took my javelin; I had not killed anyone else nor fought anyone else. When I returned to him (my master), I was set free.

When the Messenger of Allah (saw) arrived, I wanted to flee from him to Syria. Then a man came to me and said: "Woe to you, O Wahshi! By Allah, no one comes to Muhammad and bears witness to his testimony except that he lets him be!" So I set out, and he was not aware of me until I was standing at his head, bearing witness to the testimony of truth. He said: "Is it Wahshi?" I said: "Yes, Wahshi." He said: "Woe to you, tell me about the killing of Hamza." So I began to tell him just as I have told you both. He said: "Woe to you, O Wahshi! Hide your face from me so that I do not see you." So I used to avoid being seen by the Messenger of Allah (saw) until Allah took His Prophet (pbuh). When the matter of Musaylimah occurred and the expedition was sent against him, I went out with it and took my javelin. We met in battle, and both I and a man from the Ansar rushed towards him. Your Lord knows best which of us killed him. If I killed him, then I have killed the best of people and the worst of people.'

Sulayman bin Yasar said: I heard Ibn Umar saying: 'I was in the army that day, and I heard someone saying about Musaylimah: "The black slave killed him."'"
