1454 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar El-Ferexh bin Fedale, më ka treguar Ebu Sa'd esh-Shami, i cili ka thënë:
«E kam parë Uathile bin el-Eska'in - i cili ishte nga sahabët - duke u falur në xhaminë e Damaskut dhe ai kishte mbathur nallane, ai pështyu nën këmbën e tij të majtë e pastaj e fërkoi atë me tokë.
Kur u fal, i thashë: A e bën këtë ndërkohë që ti je nga shokët e të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.)? Ai tha: Kështu e kam parë të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke vepruar».

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعْدٍ
الشَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ - وَكَانَتْ
لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ - يُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ وَعَلَيْهِ نَعْلَانِ،
فَبَزَقَ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ عَرَكَهَا بِالْأَرْضِ،
فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قُلْتُ: أَتَصْنَعُ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ
اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ: هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - فَعَلَ».
1454 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Faraj bin Fadalah narrated to us, Abu Sa'd al-Shami narrated to me, he said: "I saw Wathilah bin al-Asqa' - and he was a companion - praying in the mosque of Damascus while wearing sandals. He spat under his left foot and then rubbed it against the ground. When he finished praying, I said: 'Do you do this while you are one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (saw)?' He said: 'This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) do it.'"
