Na ka treguar Ahmed bin Meniu, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ismail bin Ibrahimi, nga Ejubi, nga Ibn Ebi Mulejke, nga Ibn Abbasi, se i Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimi i Allahut qofshin mbi të!) doli nga nevojtorja dhe iu ofrua ushqimi. Ata i thanë: A të të sjellim ujë për abdest? Ai u përgjigj: Unë jam urdhëruar të marr abdest vetëm kur ngrihem për të falur namazin.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلاءِ، فَقُرِّبَ إِلَيْهِ الطَّعَامُ، فَقَالُوا‏:‏ أَلا نَأْتِيكَ بِوَضُوءٍ‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُ بِالْوُضُوءِ، إِذَا قُمْتُ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ‏.‏
Ibn Abbas said:
"Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) emerged from the toilet, whereupon the meal was presented to him and they said: 'Should we not bring you water for the minor ritual ablution?' He replied: 'I have only been commanded to perform the minor ritual ablution when I get ready for the ritual prayer'.”

Na ka treguar Said ibn Abdurrahman el-Mahzumi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Sufjan ibn Ujejne, nga Amër ibn Dinari, nga Said ibn el-Huvejrithi, nga Ibn Abasi, i cili ka thënë: I Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të!) doli pasi kishte kryer nevojën dhe i sollën ushqim. Atëherë e pyetën: A nuk do të marrësh Abdest? Ai u përgjigj: A do të fal Namazin, që të marr Abdest?
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ الْغَائِطِ فَأُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ‏:‏ أَلا تَتَوَضَّأُ‏؟‏ فَقَالَ‏:‏ أَأُصَلِّي، فَأَتَوَضَّأُ‏.‏
Ibn 'Abbas said:
"Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) emerged from having a bowel movement and he was brought a meal, so he was asked: 'Will you not perform the minor
ritual ablution?' He replied: “Am I about to perform the ritual prayer, so that I should perform the minor ritual ablution'?”

Na ka treguar Jahja ibn Musa, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Abdullah ibn Numejri, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Kajs ibn er-Rebiu (h). Gjithashtu na ka treguar Kutejbeja, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Abdul-Kerim el-Xhurxhaniu, nga Kajs ibn er-Rebiu, nga Ebu Hashimi, nga Zadhani, e ky nga Selmani, i cili ka thënë: Kam lexuar në Tevrat se bereqeti i ushqimit është abdesti pas tij. Këtë ia përmenda Pejgamberit (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të) dhe e njoftova për atë që kisha lexuar në Tevrat. Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të) tha: Bereqeti i ushqimit është abdesti para tij dhe abdesti pas tij.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ‏(‏ح‏)‏ وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ زَاذَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، قَالَ‏:‏ قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ، أَنَّ بَرَكَةَ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، وَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِمَا قَرَأْتُ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ بَرَكَةُ الطَّعَامِ الْوُضُوءُ قَبْلَهُ، وَالْوُضُوءُ بَعْدَهُ‏.‏
Salman said:
“I read in the Torah that the blessing of the meal is the minor ritual ablution after it, so I mentioned this to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), and I informed him of what I had read in the Torah. Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) then said: ‘The blessing of the meal is the minor ritual ablution before it and the minor ritual ablution after it'!”
