Na tregoi Kutejbe bin Saidi, i cili tha: Na tregoi Ibn Lehia, nga Jezid bin Ebi Habib, nga Rashid bin Xhendel el-Jafii, nga Habib bin Evs, nga Ebu Ejub el-Ensariu, i cili ka thënë: Një ditë ishim pranë Pejgamberit (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të) dhe ai na ofroi ushqim. Nuk kam parë ushqim që kishte bereqet më të madh në fillim të ngrënies e as më pak bereqet në fund të saj. Ne i thamë: O i Dërguari i Allahut, si shpjegohet kjo? Ai tha: Ne e përmendëm emrin e Allahut kur hëngrëm, pastaj u ul dikush që hëngri pa e përmendur emrin e Allahut të Lartësuar, andaj shejtani hëngri bashkë me të.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ جَنْدَلٍ الْيَافِعِيِّ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ‏:‏ كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، يَوْمًا، فَقَرَّبَ طَعَامًا، فَلَمْ أَرَ طَعَامًا كَانَ أَعْظَمَ بَرَكَةً مِنْهُ، أَوَّلَ مَا أَكَلْنَا، وَلا أَقَلَّ بَرَكَةً فِي آخِرِهِ، قُلْنَا‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ هَذَا‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ إِنَّا ذَكَرْنَا اسْمَ اللهِ حِينَ أَكَلْنَا، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ مَنْ أَكَلَ وَلَمْ يُسَمِّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فَأَكَلَ مَعَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ‏.‏
Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari said:
"We were in the home of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) one day, and he served a meal. I had never seen a meal from which greater blessing was obtained at the beginning of our eating, nor less blessing at the end of it, so we said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how is this?' He said: 'We mentioned the Name of Allah when we ate. Then someone who ate sat down and did not pronounce the Name of Allah (Exalted is He), so Satan ate with him!’”

Nga Aishja (Allahu qoftë i kënaqur me të) transmetohet se i Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të) ka thënë: Kur ndonjëri prej jush ha dhe harron të përmendë Allahun e Lartësuar mbi ushqimin e tij, le të thotë: Bismil-lah evvelehu ve ahirehu (Me emrin e Allahut në fillim dhe në fund të tij).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوائِيُّ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ الْعُقَيْلِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ‏:‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَنَسِيَ أَنْ يَذْكُرَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى عَلَى طَعَامِهِ، فَلْيَقُلْ‏:‏ بِسْمِ اللهِ أَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ‏.‏
'A’isha said:
“Allah’s Messenger said (Allah bless him and give him peace): ‘If one of you eats and forgets to mention Allah (Exalted is He) during his meal, let him say: B'ismillah awwalahu wa akhirahu, which means, 'In the name of Allah at its beginning and at its end'.”

Na ka treguar Abdullah bin es-Sabbah el-Hashimij el-Basrij, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Abdul-A’la, nga Ma’meri, nga Hisham bin Urve, nga babai i tij, nga Omer bin Ebi Seleme, se ai ka hyrë te i Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të), ndërkohë që ai kishte ushqim, e ai i tha: Afrohu o biri im, përmend emrin e Allahut të Lartësuar, ha me dorën tënde të djathtë dhe ha nga ajo që ke përpara teje!
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، وَعِنْدَهُ طَعَامٌ، فَقَالَ‏:‏ ادْنُ يَا بُنَيَّ، فَسَمِّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى، وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ، وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ‏.‏
'Umar ibn Abi Salama said that he went in to see Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace), who had a meal before him, so he said to him:
'O my dear son, pronounce
the Name of Allah(Exalted is He), eat with your right hand, and eat what is directly in front of you!’”

Na ka treguar Mahmud bin Gajlani, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Ahmed ez-Zubejriu, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Sufjan eth-Thevriu, nga Ebu Hashimi, nga Ismail bin Rijahu, nga babai i tij, Rijah bin Ubejdeh, nga Ebu Said el-Hudriu, i cili ka thënë: I Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të), kur përfundonte ngrënien e ushqimit, thoshte: Falënderimi i takon Allahut, i Cili na ushqeu, na dha të pimë dhe na bëri muslimanë.
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ، عَنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رِيَاحِ بْنِ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ، قَالَ‏:‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ‏.‏
Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri said:
“Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to say, when he had finished his meal: ‘Praise be to Allah, who has fed us and quenched our thirst, and has made us Muslims'!”

Na ka treguar Muhamed bin Beshari, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Jahja bin Saidi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Theur bin Jezidi, nga Halid bin Ma'dani, e ky nga Ebu Umamja, i cili ka thënë: Kur hiqej sofra nga para tij, i Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimi i Allahut qofshin mbi të) thoshte: Falënderimi i takon Allahut, me një falënderim të shumtë, të mirë e të bekuar; një falënderim që nuk mund të lihet, që nuk braktiset dhe pa të cilin nuk mund të bëhet, o Zoti ynë!
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ خَالِدُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا رُفِعَتِ الْمَائِدَةُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ، يَقُولُ‏:‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مُودَعٍ، وَلا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبَّنَا‏.‏
Abu Umama said:
“When the table was removed from in front of him, Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to say: ‘Much fine blessed praise to Allah! It is neither the last of our food, nor can it be dispensed with, O our Lord'!”

Na ka treguar Ebu Bekër Muhamed bin Abani, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Uekiu, nga Hisham ed-Destuaiu, nga Budejl bin Mejsere el-Ukajliu, nga Abdullah bin Ubejd bin Umejri, nga Umm Kulthumi, nga Aishja, e cila ka thënë: Pejgamberi (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të) ishte duke ngrënë ushqim me gjashtë prej shokëve të tij, kur erdhi një beduin dhe e hëngri atë me dy kafshata. Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe bekimet e Allahut qofshin mbi të) tha: Sikur ai të kishte përmendur emrin e Allahut, ai do t’ju mjaftonte të gjithëve.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوائِيِّ، عَنْ بُدَيْلِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ‏:‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْكُلُ الطَّعَامَ فِي سِتَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ، فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ، فَأَكَلَهُ بِلُقْمَتَيْنِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ لَوْ سَمَّى لَكَفَاكُمْ‏.‏
'Aisha said:
"The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) was eating with six of his Companions, when a Bedouin came and devoured it in two mouthfuls, so Allah’s Messenger said (Allah bless him and give him peace): 'If he had invoked the Name of Allah, it would have been enough for you all'!”

Na treguan Henadi dhe Mahmud bin Gajlani, të cilët kanë thënë: Na tregoi Ebu Usameja, nga Zekerija bin Ebi Zaideja, nga Seid bin Ebi Burdeja, nga Enes bin Maliku, i cili ka thënë: I Dërguari i Allahut (paqja dhe lëvdatat e Allahut qofshin mbi të) ka thënë: Vërtet, Allahu është i kënaqur me robin që ha një ushqim dhe e falënderon Atë për të, ose pi një pije dhe e falënderon Atë për të.
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، قَالا‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَرْضَى عَنِ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الأَكْلَةَ، أَوْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا‏.‏
Anas ibn Malik said:
"Allah’s Messenger said (Allah bless him and give him peace): 'Allah is surely well pleased with the servant’s eating and praising Him for the food, or drinking and praising Him for the drink'!”
