1769 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shube, nga Sad bin Is'haku, nga Zejnebi, nga Fureja, motra e Ebu Saidit, se: «Bashkëshorti i saj ndoqi disa skllevër të arratisur dhe ata e vranë atë, ndërkohë që ajo ishte në një fshat prej fshatrave të Medines. Ajo erdhi te Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) dhe ia tregoi këtë, duke i kërkuar leje që të shkonte te motrat e saj për të kaluar idetin (periudhën e pritjes) tek ato. Ai i dha leje, por pastaj e thirri atë, ose ajo u thirr për të, dhe i tha: Qëndro në shtëpinë ku të erdhi lajmi për vdekjen e bashkëshortit tënd, derisa të plotësohet afati i caktuar (idetit).»

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ ، عَنْ
فُرَيْعَةَ أُخْتِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، «أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا تَبِعَ أَعْلَاجًا
فَقَتَلُوهُ، وَهِيَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِنْ قُرَى الْمَدِينَةِ، فَأَتَتِ
النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، وَاسْتَأْذَنَتْ أَنْ تَأْتِيَ
أَخَوَاتِهَا فَتَعْتَدَّ عِنْدَهُمْ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا، ثُمَّ دَعَاهَا،
أَوْ دُعِيَتْ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: امْكُثِي فِي الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي أَتَاكِ
فِيهِ نَعْيُ زَوْجِكِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكِتَابُ أَجَلَهُ».
1769 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sa'd ibn Ishaq, from Zaynab, from Furay'ah, the sister of Abu Sa'id, 'that her husband went after some runaway slaves and they killed him, while she was in one of the villages of Madinah. So she came to the Prophet (saw) and mentioned that to him, and asked for permission to go to her sisters and observe her waiting period ('iddah) with them. He gave her permission, then he called her, or she was called for him, and he said: "Stay in the house in which the news of your husband's death reached you until the prescribed term (the 'iddah) reaches its end."'
