Wathilah ibn al-Asqa' from the Prophet ﷺ - Uathile bin el-Eska' nga Pejgamberi ﷺ - وَاثِلَةُ بْنُ الْأَسْقَعِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ.

1105 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Imran, nga Katade, nga Ebu el-Melih, nga Vathile bin el-Eska', i cili ka thënë: Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: «Më janë dhënë në vend të Tevratit shtatë (suret e gjata), në vend të Zeburit ato me nga njëqind (ajete), në vend të Inxhilit el-Methani (suret që përsëriten), dhe jam dekoruar me el-Mufassal (suret e shkurtra).»
١١٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «أُعْطِيتُ مَكَانَ التَّوْرَاةِ السَّبْعَ، وَمَكَانَ الزَّبُورِ الْمِئِينَ، وَمَكَانَ الْإِنْجِيلِ الْمَثَانِيَ، وَفُضِّلْتُ بِالْمُفَصَّلِ».
1105 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Imran narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Malih, from Wathilah ibn al-Asqa', who said: The Prophet (pbuh) said: 'I was given the Seven in place of the Torah, the Mi'in in place of the Psalms, the Mathani in place of the Gospel, and I was favored with the Mufassal.'

1106 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar El-Ferexh bin Fedale, i cili ka thënë: Më ka treguar Ebu Sa'd esh-Shami, i cili ka thënë: «E pashë Vathile bin el-Eska'in, i cili ishte nga sahabët, duke u falur në xhaminë e Damaskut me sandale mbathur. Ai pështyu nën këmbën e tij të majtë dhe pastaj e fërkoi atë me tokë. Kur mbaroi namazin, i thashë: "A e bën këtë ndërkohë që ti je nga shokët e të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.)?!" Ai tha: "Kështu e kam parë të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke vepruar".»
١١٠٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعْدٍ الشَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ يُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ وَعَلَيْهِ نَعْلَانِ، فَبَزَقَ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ عَرَكَهَا بِالْأَرْضِ، فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قُلْتُ: أَتَصْنَعُ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ! فَقَالَ: هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - فَعَلَ».
1106 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Faraj bin Fadalah narrated to us, he said: Abu Sa'd al-Shami narrated to me, he said: "I saw Wathilah bin al-Asqa'—and he was a companion—praying in the mosque of Damascus while wearing sandals. He spat under his left foot and then rubbed it against the ground. When he finished praying, I said: 'Do you do this while you are one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)?!' He said: 'This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) do it.'"
