1151 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar el-Mes'udi, nga el-Velid bin Seri', nga Amër bin Hurejthi, i cili ka thënë: «Fala namazin pas Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) dhe ai lexoi: ﴿إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ﴾ (Kur dielli të jetë mbështjellë), e kur arriti te ky ajet: ﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ * وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ﴾ (Dhe pasha natën kur ajo largohet, dhe pasha mëngjesin kur ai fillon të zbardhë), thashë me vete: Çfarë do të thotë nata kur ajo largohet dhe mëngjesi kur ai fillon të zbardhë?».

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو
بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، قَالَ: «صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - فَقَرَأَ بِـ
﴿إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ﴾، فَلَمَّا أَتَى عَلَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ
﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ * وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ﴾ قُلْتُ فِي
نَفْسِي مَا اللَّيْلُ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ وَالصُّبْحُ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ؟».
1151 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Mas'udi narrated to us, from Al-Walid bin Sari', from 'Amr bin Hurayth, who said: "I prayed behind the Prophet (pbuh) and he recited: {When the sun is wrapped up}, and when he reached this verse: {And by the night when it departs, and by the dawn when it breathes}, I said to myself: What is 'the night when it departs' and 'the dawn when it breathes'?"
