1198 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Harixhe bin Mus'abi, nga Amër bin Jahja el-Ensariu, nga babai i tij, i cili ka thënë: Na tha Abdullah bin Zejdi: «A t'ju marr abdest ashtu siç merrte abdest i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.)? Thamë: Po. Atëherë ai shpëlau gojën dhe hundën me një grusht ujë tri herë, pastaj lau fytyrën e tij tri herë, pastaj lau krahët e tij nga dy herë, pastaj fshiu kokën e tij duke i kaluar duart para dhe mbrapa, dhe lau këmbët e tij nga tri herë, e pastaj tha: Kështu ishte abdesti i të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.).»

- حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ،
عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ
لَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ : «أَلَا أَتَوَضَّأُ لَكُمْ وُضُوءَ
رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قُلْنَا: بَلَى، فَتَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ بِغَرْفَةٍ
وَاحِدَةٍ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ
ذِرَاعَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ فَأَقْبَلَ
بِيَدِهِ وَأَدْبَرَ بِهَا، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ
قَالَ: هَكَذَا كَانَ وُضُوءُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ».

Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Kharijah bin Mus'ab narrated to us, from 'Amr bin Yahya al-Ansari, from his father, who said: 'Abdullah bin Zayd said to us: "Shall I not perform for you the ablution (wudu) of the Messenger of Allah (saw)?" We said: "Yes."
So he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose with a single handful of water, three times, then he washed his face three times, then he washed his forearms twice each, then he wiped his head, bringing his hands forward and then taking them back, and he washed his feet three times each, then he said: "This is how the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (saw) was."
