٥٨٦٢ - «وَعَنِ الْأَرْقَمِ أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: " أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟ "، قَالَ: أَرَدْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَاهُنَا وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى حَيِّزِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ قَالَ: " مَا يُخْرِجُكَ إِلَيْهِ أَتِجَارَةٌ؟ "، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَا، وَلَكِنْ أَرَدْتُ الصَّلَاةَ [فِيهِ]! قَالَ: " فَالصَّلَاةُ هَاهُنَا - وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ - خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ وَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الشَّامِ».
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ، فَقَالَ:
#5862 And from Al-Arqam that he came to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and greeted him, so he (the Prophet) said: "Where do you intend to go?" He said: "I intended, O Messenger of Allah, to go here," and he pointed with his hand toward the direction of Bayt al-Maqdis. He (the Prophet) said: "What is taking you out to it? Is it trade?" He (Al-Arqam) said: I said: "No, but I intended to pray [therein]!" He (the Prophet) said: "A prayer here - and he pointed with his hand toward Makkah - is better than a thousand prayers," and he motioned with his hand toward Ash-Sham.

- «Nga el-Arkam se ai erdhi te i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.), e përshëndeti atë, e ai i tha: "Ku dëshiron të shkosh?", ai tha: "Dëshirova, o i Dërguari i Allahut, këtu" dhe bëri me shenjë me dorën e tij drejt zonës së Bejtul-Makdisit. Ai tha: "Çfarë po të nxjerr drejt tij, a mos është tregtia?", ai tha: "Thashë: Jo, por dëshirova faljen e namazit [në të]!" Ai tha: "Namazi këtu - dhe bëri me shenjë me dorën e tij drejt Mekës - është më i mirë se një mijë namaze" dhe bëri me shenjë me dorën e tij drejt Shamit».

E ka transmetuar Ahmedi dhe Taberaniu në 'el-Kebir', dhe ka thënë:
