- وَعَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: «كَانَ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ
شَابًّا جَمِيلًا سَمْحًا مِنْ خَيْرِ شَبَابِ قَوْمِهِ، وَلَا يَسْأَلُ
شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ حَتَّى ادَّانَ دَيْنًا أَغْلَقَ مَالَهُ. قَالَ:
فَكَلَّمَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - أَنْ يُكَلِّمَ غُرَمَاءَهُ، فَفَعَلَ،
فَلَمْ يَضَعُوا لَهُ شَيْئًا، فَلَوْ تُرِكَ لِأَحَدٍ بِكَلَامِ أَحَدٍ
لَتُرِكَ لِمُعَاذٍ بِكَلَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - ﷺ -. فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ
اللَّهِ - ﷺ - فَلَمْ يَبْرَحْ حَتَّى بَاعَ مَالَهُ، وَقَسَّمَهُ بَيْنَ
غُرَمَائِهِ. فَقَامَ مُعَاذٌ لَا مَالَ لَهُ. فَلَمَّا حَجَّ بَعَثَهُ
النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ - إِلَى الْيَمَنِ لِيَجْبُرَ. قَالَ: وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ
بَحَّرَ فِي هَذَا الْمَالِ مُعَاذٌ، فَقَدِمَ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ مِنَ
الْيَمَنِ، وَقَدْ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ» -.
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ مُرْسَلًا، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ.

6700 - On the authority of the son of Ka'b ibn Malik, who said: "Mu'adh ibn Jabal was a handsome and generous young man, among the best of the youth of his people. He was never asked for anything but that he gave it, until he incurred a debt that consumed his entire wealth. He said: So he spoke to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) to intercede with his creditors, and he did so, but they did not waive anything for him. If any debt were to be remitted for anyone due to the word of another, it would have been remitted for Mu'adh due to the word of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). Then the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) summoned him and did not leave him until he had sold his property and distributed it among his creditors. Mu'adh thus rose with no wealth remaining. When he performed the pilgrimage, the Prophet (pbuh) sent him to Yemen to restore his financial condition. He said: Mu'adh was the first to expand extensively in this wealth, and he returned to Abu Bakr from Yemen, while the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) had already passed away."
6700 - Nga djali i Ka'b b. Malikut ka thënë: «Muadh b. Xhebeli ishte një i ri i bukur dhe bujar, nga të rinjtë më të mirë të popullit të tij. Ai nuk kërkohej për diçka pa e dhënë atë, derisa u zhyt në borxhe që ia bllokuan pasurinë e tij. Tha: Ai i kërkoi të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) që të fliste me kreditorët e tij, dhe ai e bëri këtë, por ata nuk i falën asgjë. Sikur t'i falej dikujt diçka për shkak të fjalës së dikujt tjetër, do t'i falej Muadhit për shkak të fjalës së të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.). Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) e thirri atë dhe nuk u largua derisa ia shiti pasurinë dhe e ndau atë mes kreditorëve të tij. Muadhi mbeti pa asnjë pasuri. Kur kreu haxhin, Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) e dërgoi atë në Jemen që të rimëkëmbej. Tha: Dhe Muadhi ishte i pari që u zgjerua në këtë pasuri. Ai u kthye nga Jemeni te Ebu Bekri, ndërkohë që i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) kishte ndërruar jetë».
