- «وَعَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ: مَرَّ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ -
فَرَأَى أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - فِيَّ جَلْدَةَ وَنَشَاطَةَ فَقَالُوا:
يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، لَوْ كَانَ هَذَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ؟ فَقَالَ
رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ: " إِنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى عَلَى وَلَدِهِ صِغَارًا
فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى عَلَى
أَبَوَيْنِ شَيْخَيْنِ كَبِيرَيْنِ فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَإِنْ
كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى عَلَى نَفْسِهِ يَعُفُّهَا فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ
اللَّهِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى رِيَاءً وَمُفَاخَرَةً فَهُوَ فِي
سَبِيلِ الشَّيْطَانِ».
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الثَّلَاثَةِ، وَرِجَالُ الْكَبِيرِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ.

7709 - And on the authority of Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, who said: A man passed by the Prophet (pbuh), and the companions of the Prophet (pbuh) saw in him endurance and vigor. They said: "O Messenger of Allah, if only this were in the cause of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) then said: "If he went out striving for his small children, then he is in the cause of Allah. If he went out striving for two elderly parents, then he is in the cause of Allah. If he went out striving for himself to remain chaste, then he is in the cause of Allah. But if he went out striving for ostentation and pride, then he is in the cause of Satan."

- Nga Ka'b bin 'Uxhreh tregon: Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) kaloi pranë meje, dhe shokët e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) panë tek unë fuqi dhe gjallëri, andaj thanë: O i Dërguari i Allahut, sikur kjo të ishte në rrugën e Allahut? I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Nëse ai ka dalë të punojë për fëmijët e tij të vegjël, ai është në rrugën e Allahut. Nëse ka dalë të punojë për dy prindërit e tij të moshuar, ai është në rrugën e Allahut. Nëse ka dalë të punojë për veten e tij që të mbrohet (nga harami), ai është në rrugën e Allahut. Por, nëse ka dalë të punojë për sy e faqe dhe mburrje, ai është në rrugën e shejtanit."
E ka transmetuar Taberaniu në të tre (Mu'xhemet), dhe transmetuesit e (Mu'xhem) el-Kebirit janë transmetuesit e Sahihut.
