٨٤٤٤ - وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ: «كُنْتُ أَرَقِي مِنْ حُمَةِ الْعَيْنِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمْتُ ذَكَرْتُهَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - فَقَالَ: " اعْرِضْهَا عَلَيَّ "، فَعَرَضْتُهَا عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: " ارْقِ بِهَا فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهَا ". وَلَوْلَا ذَلِكَ مَا رَقِيتُ بِهَا إِنْسَانًا أَبَدًا».
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ.
#8444 8444 - And from 'Ubadah bin al-Samit, who said: "I used to perform incantations for the affliction of the evil eye during the pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah). When I embraced Islam, I mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). He said: 'Present it to me.' So I presented it to him, and he said: 'Perform incantations with it, for there is no harm in it.' Were it not for that, I would never have performed it on any human being."

- Dhe nga Ubade b. es-Samit ka thënë: «Unë bëja rukje kundër syrit të keq në xhahilijet, e kur u bëra musliman, ia përmenda këtë të Dërguarit të Allahut - (s.a.v.s.) - e ai tha: "Ma trego atë", kështu që unë ia tregova atij, e ai tha: "Bëj rukje me të, nuk ka asgjë të keqe në të".
