- وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ «أَنَّ رَاهِبًا أَهْدَى لِلنَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - جُبَّةَ
سُنْدُسٍ فَلَبِسَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - ثُمَّ أَتَى الْبَيْتَ
فَوَضَعَهَا، وَحَسَّ بِوَفْدٍ أَتَوْهُ، فَأَمَرَهُ عُمَرُ - ﵇ - أَنْ
يَلْبَسَ الْجُبَّةَ لِقُدُومِ الْوَفْدِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ -: "
لَا يَصْلُحُ لَنَا لِبَاسُهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَيَصْلُحُ لَنَا فِي
الْآخِرَةِ، وَلَكِنْ خُذْهَا يَا عُمَرُ ". قَالَ: تَكْرَهُهَا
وَآخُذُهَا؟ قَالَ: " إِنِّي لَا آمُرُكَ أَنْ تَلْبَسَهَا وَلَكِنْ
أَرْسِلْ بِهَا إِلَى أَرْضِ فَارِسَ فَتُصِيبَ بِهَا مَالًا ". فَأَرْسَلَ
بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - إِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَحْسَنَ
إِلَى مَنْ فَرَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - ﷺ».

8641 - And from Jabir: that a monk gifted the Prophet (pbuh) a cloak of fine silk, and the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) wore it. Then he came to the house and took it off, and he sensed the arrival of a delegation. Umar (peace be upon him) suggested that he wear the cloak for the arrival of the delegation, but the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "It is not fitting for us to wear this in this world, but it is fitting for us in the Hereafter; however, take it, O Umar." He said: "You dislike it, yet I should take it?" He replied: "I am not ordering you to wear it, but rather send it to the land of Persia so that you may gain wealth by it." So the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) sent it to the Negus, as he had been kind to those companions of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) who had fled to him.
8641 - Dhe nga Xhabiri «se një murg i dhuroi Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) një xhybe prej mëndafshi të hollë (sundus), kështu që i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) e veshi atë, pastaj erdhi në shtëpi dhe e hoqi. Ai ndjeu ardhjen e një delegacioni që po vinte tek ai, kështu që Omeri (a.s.) i sugjeroi që ta vishte xhyben për pritjen e delegacionit. I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Nuk na takon neve veshja e saj në këtë botë, ndërsa na takon në botën tjetër, por merre këtë, o Omer".
Ai tha: "Ti e urren atë dhe unë ta marr?" Ai tha: "Unë nuk po të urdhëroj që ta veshësh, por dërgoje atë në tokën e Persisë që të përfitosh pasuri përmes saj". Kështu, i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) e dërgoi atë te Nexhashiu, i cili ishte treguar i mirë me ata që kishin ikur tek ai nga shokët e të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.)».
