- وَعَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ - قَالَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ:
فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ - قَالَ:
«اسْتَعْمَلَ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ - رَجُلًا عَلَى سَرِيَّةٍ فَلَمَّا مَضَى
وَرَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ لَهُ: " كَيْفَ وَجَدْتَ الْإِمَارَةَ؟ " قَالَ:
كُنْتُ كَبَعْضِ الْقَوْمِ إِذَا رَكَنْتُ رَكَنُوا وَإِذَا نَزَلْتُ
نَزَلُوا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ -: " إِنَّ [صَاحِبَ] السُّلْطَانِ عَلَى
بَابِ عَتَبٍ إِلَّا مَنْ عَصَمَ اللَّهُ - ﷿ - ".
فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: وَاللَّهِ لَا أَعْمَلُ لَكَ وَلَا لِغَيْرِكَ أَبَدًا. فَضَحِكَ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ - حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ».
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَفِيهِ عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ وَقَدِ اخْتَلَطَ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ.

9026 - And from Malik ibn al-Harith, from a man - al-Hadrami said: In the book of Abu Kuraib from Humayd from a man - who said: "The Prophet (pbuh) appointed a man over an expedition. When he had departed and returned to him, he said to him: 'How did you find leadership?' He replied: 'I was like one of the people; when I rode, they rode, and when I alighted, they alighted.' The Prophet (pbuh) said: 'Indeed, the [possessor] of authority is at the door of ruin, except for those whom Allah (Mighty and Majestic) protects.' The man said: 'By Allah, I will never work for you or for anyone else ever again.' The Prophet (pbuh) laughed until his premolars were visible."

- Dhe nga Malik bin el-Harithi, nga një burrë - el-Hadramiu tha:
Në librin e Ebu Kurejbit, nga Humejdi, nga një burrë - tha:
«Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) caktoi një burrë në krye të një ekspedite, e kur ai shkoi dhe u kthye tek ai, i tha: "Si e gjete udhëheqjen?" Ai tha: Isha si njëri prej njerëzve; kur unë ndaloja, ata ndalonin, dhe kur unë zbrisja, ata zbrisnin. Atëherë Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Vërtet, [mbajtësi i] pushtetit është në prag të qortimit, përveç atij që Allahu - i Madhëruar dhe i Lartësuar - e mbron".
Atëherë burri tha: Pasha Allahun, nuk do të punoj kurrë as për ty e as për dikë tjetër. Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) qeshi aq sa iu dukën dhëmballët».
E ka transmetuar Taberaniu, dhe në të është Ata bin es-Saib, i cili ishte i përzier (në memorien e tij), ndërsa pjesa tjetër e transmetuesve të tij janë të besueshëm.
