- وَعَنْ الْقَاسِمِ أَيْضًا، قَالَ: قَدِمَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي
ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - وَقَدْ بَنَى سَعْدٌ الْقَصْرَ، وَاتَّخَذَ مَسْجِدًا
فِي أَصْحَابِ النَّمِرِ، فَكَانَ يَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الصَّلَوَاتِ،
فَلَمَّا وَلِيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بَيْتَ الْمَالِ، نَقِبَ بَيْتُ الْمَالِ،
فَأَخَذَ الرَّجُلَ.
فَكَتَبَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِلَى عُمَرَ، فَكَتَبَ
عُمَرُ أَنْ لَا تَقْطَعَهُ، وَانْقُلِ الْمَسْجِدَ، وَاجْعَلْ بَيْتَ
الْمَالِ مِمَّا يَلِي الْقِبْلَةَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَزَالُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ
مَنْ يُصَلِّي، فَنَقَلَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَخَطَّ هَذِهِ الْخُطَّةَ،
وَكَانَ الْقَصْرُ الَّذِي بَنَى سَعْدٌ شَاذَرْوَانَ، كَانَ الْإِمَامُ
يَقُومُ عَلَيْهِ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، فَنُقِضَ حَتَّى اسْتَوَى
مَقَامُ الْإِمَامِ مَعَ النَّاسِ.
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ، وَالْقَاسِمُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ جَدِّهِ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ.

10654 - And from al-Qasim also, he said: 'Abdullah—meaning Ibn Mas'ud—arrived when Sa'd had already built the palace and established a mosque among the Ashab al-Namir. He used to go out to it for the prayers. When 'Abdullah took charge of the treasury, the treasury was tunneled into, and the man was caught. So 'Abdullah wrote to 'Umar, and 'Umar wrote back: "Do not cut off [his hand], and move the mosque, and place the treasury in the direction facing the Qibla, for there will always be someone in the mosque praying." So 'Abdullah moved it and marked out this plan. The palace that Sa'd built had a raised platform (shadharwan) upon which the Imam used to stand; 'Abdullah ordered it, and it was dismantled until the Imam's position became level with the people.
10654 - Dhe nga el-Kasimi gjithashtu, ka thënë: Erdhi Abdullahu - domethënë Ibn Mes'udi - ndërkohë që Sa'di kishte ndërtuar pallatin dhe kishte ndërtuar një xhami te as'habun-nemir (njerëzit e Nemirit), dhe ai dilte atje për namaze. Kur Abdullahu mori përsipër Bejtul-Malin, Bejtul-Mali u thye (u hap një vrimë), dhe ai e kapi personin.
Abdullahu i shkroi Omerit, dhe Omeri i shkroi që të mos ia priste dorën, por ta zhvendoste xhaminë dhe ta bënte Bejtul-Malin në drejtim të Kiblës, sepse në xhami gjithmonë ka dikush që falet. Abdullahu e zhvendosi atë dhe e vizatoi këtë plan. Pallati që kishte ndërtuar Sa'di kishte një shadhirvan (platformë të ngritur), ku qëndronte imami. Abdullahu urdhëroi për të dhe u shemb derisa vendi i imamit u barazua me njerëzit.
E ka transmetuar et-Taberaniu, dhe el-Kasimi nuk ka dëgjuar nga gjyshi i tij, ndërsa transmetuesit e tij janë transmetues të Sahihut.
