١١٢٠٠ - وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ﴿لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ﴾ [النور: ١٢] قَذَفَ عَائِشَةَ وَصَفْوَانَ هَلَّا كَذَّبْتُمْ بِهِ هَلَّا ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ لِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ جَحْشٍ بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا أَلَا ظَنَّ بَعْضُهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ
خَيْرًا بِأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَرَوْا هَذَا وَقَالُوا هَذَا إِفْكٌ أَلَا قَالُوا: هَذَا الْقَذْفُ كَذِبٌ بَيِّنٌ.
#11200 And from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the verse: {Why, when you heard it} [An-Nur: 12]: Slandering Aisha and Safwan; why did you not deny it? {Why did the believing men and the believing women}—for Zaynab bint Jahsh was among them—{think well of themselves}? Should some of them not have thought well of others, as they had not witnessed this? And they said: "This is a slander." Why did they not say: "This accusation is a manifest lie."
