١١٣١٤ - وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - إِلَى وَحْشِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَاتِلِ حَمْزَةَ يَدْعُوهُ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ كَيْفَ تَدْعُونِي وَأَنْتَ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ مَنْ قَتَلَ أَوْ أَشْرَكَ أَوْ زَنَى (يَلْقَ أَثَامًا يُضَاعَفُ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا)
وَأَنَا صَنَعْتُ ذَلِكَ فَهَلْ تَجِدُ لِي مِنْ رُخْصَةٍ؟ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ - ﷿ - ﴿إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُولَئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا﴾ [الفرقان: ٧٠] فَقَالَ وَحْشِيٌّ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ هَذَا شَرْطٌ شَدِيدٌ إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَلَعَلِّي لَا أَقْدِرُ عَلَى هَذَا، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ - ﷿ - ﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ﴾ [النساء: ٤٨] فَقَالَ وَحْشِيٌّ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، هَذَا أَرَى بَعْدَ مَشِيئَةٍ فَلَا أَدْرِي يُغْفَرُ لِي أَمْ لَا؟ فَهَلْ غَيْرُ هَذَا؟ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ - ﷿ - ﴿يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ﴾ [الزمر: ٥٣] قَالَ وَحْشِيٌّ: هَذَا نَعَمْ، فَأَسْلَمَ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّا أَصَبْنَا مَا أَصَابَ وَحْشِيٌّ؟ قَالَ: " هِيَ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ عَامَّةً» ".
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ، وَفِيهِ أَبْيَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ضَعَّفَهُ الذَّهَبِيُّ.
#11314 And from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) sent for Wahshi bin Harb, the killer of Hamza, inviting him to Islam. He sent back to him: O Muhammad, how do you invite me when you claim that whoever kills, associates partners with Allah, or commits adultery {shall meet a penalty; the punishment shall be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disgraced}? And I have done that, so do you find any concession for me? Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed: {Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good, and Allah is Ever Forgiving and Merciful} [Al-Furqan: 70]. Wahshi said: O Muhammad, this is a strict condition: {Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work}; perhaps I might not be able to do this. Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed: {Indeed, Allah does not forgive that partners be associated with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills} [An-Nisa: 48]. Wahshi said: O Muhammad, I see this is subject to His will, and I do not know whether I will be forgiven or not; is there anything other than this? Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed: {O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful} [Az-Zumar: 53]. Wahshi said: This, yes. So he embraced Islam. The people then said: O Messenger of Allah, we have committed the same as what Wahshi committed? He said: It is for the Muslims in general.

- Dhe nga Ibn Abbasi transmetohet se ka thënë: «I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) i dërgoi ftesë Vahshi bin Harbit, vrasësit të Hamzës, duke e thirrur atë në Islam. Ai i dërgoi mesazh: O Muhamed, si më thërret mua kur ti pretendon se kush vret, i bën shok Allahut ose bën zina (do të pësojë ndëshkimin, do t'i dyfishohet dënimi në Ditën e Kiametit dhe do të mbetet aty i poshtëruar përgjithmonë)
ndërsa unë i kam bërë këto, a gjen për mua ndonjë lëshim? Atëherë Allahu i Madhëruar shpalli: ﴿Përveç atij që pendohet, beson dhe bën vepra të mira, të tillëve Allahu do t'ua shndërrojë të këqijat në të mira. Allahu është Falës i Madh, Mëshirëplotë﴾ [el-Furkan: 70]. Vahshiu tha: O Muhamed, ky është kusht i vështirë: 'përveç atij që pendohet, beson dhe bën vepra të mira', mbase unë nuk kam mundësi për këtë. Atëherë Allahu i Madhëruar shpalli: ﴿Vërtet, Allahu nuk fal që t'i bëhet shok Atij, por fal çdo gjë tjetër përveç kësaj për atë që dëshiron﴾ [en-Nisa: 48]. Vahshiu tha: O Muhamed, këtë e shoh pas dëshirës (së Allahut), nuk e di a do të më falet apo jo? A ka tjetër përveç kësaj? Atëherë Allahu i Madhëruar shpalli: ﴿O robërit e Mi, të cilët keni tejkaluar me veten tuaj, mos e humbni shpresën në mëshirën e Allahut! Vërtet, Allahu i fal të gjitha gjynahet. Ai, me të vërtetë, është Falësi i Madh, Mëshirëploti﴾ [ez-Zumer: 53]. Vahshiu tha: Kjo po, dhe u bë musliman. Njerëzit thanë: O i Dërguari i Allahut, edhe ne kemi bërë atë që ka bërë Vahshiu? Ai tha: "Ajo është për muslimanët në përgjithësi"».
E ka transmetuar Taberaniu në 'el-Evsat', dhe në zinxhirin e tij është Ebjen bin Sufjan, të cilin Dhehebiu e ka konsideruar të dobët.
