Hadith #11837 - Majma al-Zawaid - The Compilation of Extra Narrations and the Source of Benefits

١١٨٣٧ - وَعَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ «أَنَّ عُبَادَةَ لَمَّا حَضَرَ قَالَ لَهُ ابْنُهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: يَا أَبَتَاهُ، أَوْصِنِي، قَالَ: أَجْلِسُونِي، فَأَجْلَسُوهُ، فَقَالَ: يَا بُنَيَّ، اتَّقِ اللَّهَ، وَلَنْ تَتَّقِيَ اللَّهَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنَ بِاللَّهِ، وَلَنْ تُؤْمِنَ بِاللَّهِ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ، وَأَنَّ مَا أَصَابَكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُخْطِئَكَ، وَإِنَّ مَا أَخْطَأَكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُصِيبَكَ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - يَقُولُ: " الْقَدَرُ عَلَى هَذَا، مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى غَيْرِهِ دَخَلَ النَّارَ ".

#11837 11837 - And on the authority of al-Walid ibn 'Ubada, that when death approached 'Ubada, his son Abd al-Rahman said to him: "O my father, advise me." He said: "Sit me up." So they sat him up, and he said: "O my son, fear Allah, and you will never fear Allah until you believe in Allah, and you will never believe in Allah until you believe in Predestination, its good and its evil, and that what has befallen you was never going to miss you, and what has missed you was never going to befall you. I heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) saying: 'Predestination is according to this; whoever dies upon other than this shall enter the Fire.'"

- Dhe nga el-Velid bin Ubade se kur Ubadeja ishte në prag të vdekjes, djali i tij Abdurrahmani i tha: "O babai im, më jep një porosi." Ai tha: "Më ulni." Ata e ulën atë, dhe ai tha: "O biri im, kije frikë Allahun. Ti nuk do ta kesh frikë Allahun derisa të besosh në Allahun, dhe nuk do të besosh në Allahun derisa të besosh në Kaderin (paracaktimin), në të mirën dhe në të keqen e tij, dhe se ajo që të ka goditur nuk mund të të shmangte, dhe ajo që të ka shmangur nuk mund të të godiste. Kam dëgjuar të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke thënë: 'Kaderi është kështu; kushdo që vdes duke besuar ndryshe nga kjo, do të hyjë në Zjarr.'"
