١٢٠٣٧ - وَعَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا مَعَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، وَأَبُو مُوسَى عِنْدَهُ، وَأَخَذَ الْوَالِي رَجُلًا فَضَرَبَهُ وَحَمَلَهُ عَلَى جَمَلٍ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَقُولُونَ: الْجَمَلَ الْجَمَلَ. فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، هَذَا الْجَمَلُ الَّذِي كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ. قَالَ: فَأَيْنَ الْبَارِقَةُ؟.
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ.
#12037 12037 - And on the authority of 'Umayr ibn Sa'id, who said: We were sitting with Ibn Mas'ud, and Abu Musa was with him. The governor seized a man, struck him, and carried him upon a camel. The people began to say: "The camel! The camel!" A man said: "O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, is this the camel which we used to hear about?" He replied: "Then where is the flashing [of swords]?"
