Hadith #12079 - Majma al-Zawaid - The Compilation of Extra Narrations and the Source of Benefits

١٢٠٧٩ - وَعَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ: هَلَكَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ صُرَدَ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ. قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمَدِينِيِّ فُسْتُقَةَ -: وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ صُرَدَ الْخُزَاعِيَّ خَرَجَ هُوَ وَالْمُسَيَّبُ بْنُ نَجَبَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ فِي أَرْبَعَةِ آلَافٍ، فَعَسْكَرُوا بِالنَّخِيلَةِ يَطْلُبُونَ بِدَمِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَلَيْهِمْ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ صُرَدَ، وَذَلِكَ لِمُسْتَهَلِّ رَبِيعٍ الْآخِرِ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ، ثُمَّ سَارُوا إِلَى عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ فَلَقَوْا مُقَدِّمَتَهُ، فَاقْتَتَلُوا، فَقُتِلَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ صُرَدَ وَالْمُسَيَّبُ، وَذَلِكَ لِمُسْتَهَلِّ رَبِيعٍ الْآخِرِ.
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ مُنْقَطِعٌ.

#12079 12079 - And on the authority of al-Haytham ibn 'Adi, who said: Sulayman ibn Surad perished in the year sixty-five. Muhammad ibn 'Ali—meaning Ibn al-Madini Fustuqah—said: And it reached me that Sulayman ibn Surad al-Khuza'i set out, he and al-Musayyab ibn Najabah al-Fazari, with four thousand men, and they encamped at al-Nukhaylah seeking to avenge the blood of al-Husayn ibn 'Ali. Sulayman ibn Surad was in command over them, and that was at the beginning of Rabi' al-Akhir in the year sixty-five. Then they marched towards 'Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad and met his vanguard, and they fought. Sulayman ibn Surad and al-Musayyab were killed, and that was at the beginning of Rabi' al-Akhir.

- Dhe nga el-Hejthem bin Adij ka thënë: Ka vdekur Sulejman bin Surad në vitin 65.
