- عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سِيرِينَ - قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ أَبِي
قَتَادَةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَيْتِنَا، فَرَأَى كَوْكَبًا انْقَضَّ، فَنَظَرُوا
إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ: إِنَّا قَدْ نُهِينَا أَنْ نُتْبِعَهُ
أَبْصَارَنَا.
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ.

13258 - On the authority of Muhammad—meaning Ibn Sirin—who said: We were with Abu Qatadah on the roof of our house, and he saw a shooting star. The people looked at it, so Abu Qatadah said: "Indeed, we have been forbidden from following it with our eyes."

- Prej Muhammedit - domethënë Ibn Sirinit - ka thënë: Ishim me Ebu Kataden në çatinë e shtëpisë sonë, kur ai pa një yll që ra (shkrepëtiu), kështu që njerëzit e shikuan atë. Atëherë Ebu Katade tha: Ne jemi ndaluar që t'i ndjekim ata me shikimet tona.
