١٣٨٩٦ - وَعَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ: أُخْرِجَ جَيْشٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنَا أَمِيرُهُمْ، حَتَّى نَزَلْنَا الْإِسْكَنْدَرِيَّةَ فَقَالَ عَظِيمٌ مِنْ عُظَمَائِهِمْ: أَخْرِجُوا إِلَيَّ رَجُلًا أُكَلِّمُهُ وَيُكَلِّمُنِي، فَقُلْتُ: لَا يَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ غَيْرِي، فَخَرَجْتُ مَعَ تُرْجُمَانِهِ حَتَّى وُضِعَ لَنَا مِنْبَرَانِ، فَقَالَ: مَا أَنْتُمْ؟ فَقُلْنَا: نَحْنُ الْعَرَبُ، وَنَحْنُ أَهْلُ الشَّوْكِ وَالْقَرَظِ، وَنَحْنُ أَهْلُ بَيْتِ اللَّهِ، كُنَّا أَضْيَقَ النَّاسِ أَرْضًا وَأَشَدَّهُ عَيْشًا، نَأْكُلُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ، وَيُغِيرُ بَعْضُنَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ بِشَرِّ عَيْشٍ عَاشَ بِهِ
النَّاسُ، حَتَّى خَرَجَ فِينَا رَجُلٌ لَيْسَ بِأَعْظَمِنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ شَرَفًا وَلَا بِأَكْثَرِنَا مَالًا، قَالَ: أَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ، يَأْمُرُنَا بِأَشْيَاءَ لَا نَعْرِفُ، وَيَنْهَانَا عَمَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْهِ وَكَانَ عَلَيْهِ آبَاؤُنَا، فَشَنِفْنَا لَهُ وَكَذَّبْنَاهُ وَرَدَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ مَقَالَتَهُ، حَتَّى خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ مِنْ غَيْرِنَا فَقَالُوا: نَحْنُ نُصَدِّقُكَ وَنُؤْمِنُ بِكَ وَنَتَّبِعُكَ وَنُقَاتِلُ مَنْ قَاتَلَكَ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَخَرَجْنَا إِلَيْهِ فَقَاتَلْنَاهُ، فَظَهَرَ عَلَيْنَا وَغَلَبَنَا، وَتَنَاوَلَ مَنْ يَلِيهِ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ فَقَاتَلَهُمْ حَتَّى ظَهَرَ عَلَيْهِمْ، فَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ مَنْ وَرَائِيَ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ مَا أَنْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنَ الْعَيْشِ لَمْ يَبْقَ أَحَدٌ حَتَّى جَاءَكُمْ حَتَّى يُشَارِكَكُمْ فِيمَا أَنْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنَ الْعَيْشِ، فَضَحِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - قَدْ صَدَقَ، قَدْ جَاءَتْنَا رُسُلُنَا بِمِثْلِ الَّذِي جَاءَ بِهِ رَسُولُكُمْ، فَكُنَّا عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى ظَهَرَتْ فِينَا فِتْيَانٌ فَجَعَلُوا يَعْمَلُونَ فِينَا بِأَهْوَائِهِمْ وَيَتْرُكُونَ أَمْرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ، فَإِنْ أَنْتُمْ أَخَذْتُمْ بِأَمْرِ نَبِيِّكُمْ لَمْ يُقَاتِلْكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا غَلَبْتُمُوهُ، وَلَمْ يُشَارِرْكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا ظَهَرْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ، فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُمْ مِثْلَ الَّذِي فَعَلْنَا، وَتَرَكْتُمْ أَمْرَ نَبِيِّكُمْ، وَعَمِلْتُمْ مِثْلَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا بِأَهْوَائِهِمْ، فَهُمْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا أَكْثَرَ عَدَدًا مِنَّا وَلَا أَشَدَّ قُوَّةً مِنَّا، فَقَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ: فَمَا كَلَّمْتُ رَجُلًا أَنْكَرَ مِنْهُ.
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ.
#13896 13896 - And from 'Alqama ibn Waqqas, who said: 'Amr ibn al-'As said: An army of the Muslims was sent out, of which I was the commander, until we reached Alexandria. One of their noblemen said: "Send out a man to me so that I may speak to him and he may speak to me." I said: "No one shall go out to him but me." So I went out with his translator until two platforms were set up for us. He asked: "Who are you?" We replied: "We are the Arabs; we are the people of thorns and acacia leaves, and we are the people of the House of Allah. We were the most constrained of people in land and the most severe in living conditions; we used to eat carrion and blood, and some of us would raid others, living the worst life any people lived, until there emerged among us a man who was not at that time the greatest of us in nobility, nor the wealthiest of us. He said: 'I am the Messenger of Allah to you.' He commanded us with things we did not know and forbade us from what we and our forefathers were upon. So we loathed him, belied him, and rejected his message, until a people other than us came out to him and said: 'We believe you, we have faith in you, we follow you, and we will fight whoever fights you.' So he went to them, and we went out against him and fought him, but he prevailed over us and defeated us. He then dealt with the neighboring Arabs and fought them until he prevailed over them. If the Arabs behind me knew of the life you are living, not one of them would remain without coming to you to share in the life you have." He laughed and then said: "The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) has indeed spoken the truth. Our messengers came to us with the same message your Messenger brought, and we remained upon it until young men emerged among us who began to act among us according to their own desires and abandoned the commands of the Prophets. If you adhere to the command of your Prophet, no one will fight you but that you will defeat them, and no one will oppose you but that you will prevail over them. But if you do as we did, and abandon the command of your Prophet, and act as they did according to their desires—and they were not more in number than us nor greater in strength than us—[then you will be overcome]." 'Amr ibn al-'As said: "I have never spoken to a man more astute than him."

- Dhe nga Alkame bin Vakkas ka thënë: Amr bin el-Asi ka thënë:
U nis një ushtri prej muslimanëve ku unë isha komandanti i tyre, derisa zbritëm në Aleksandri. Një nga paritë e tyre tha: "Më nxirrni një burrë që të flas me të e ai të flasë me mua." Unë thashë: "Nuk do të dalë tek ai askush tjetër përveç meje." Kështu dola bashkë me përkthyesin e tij derisa na u vendosën dy minberë. Ai tha: "Cilët jeni ju?" Ne thamë: "Ne jemi arabët, ne jemi njerëzit e gjembave dhe të gjetheve të akacies (karadh), ne jemi njerëzit e Shtëpisë së Allahut. Kemi qenë njerëzit me tokën më të ngushtë dhe me jetesën më të vështirë; hanim ngordhësirat dhe gjakun, dhe sulmonim njëri-tjetrin në jetesën më të keqe që kanë jetuar
njerëzit, derisa doli mes nesh një burrë që nuk ishte as më i madhi prej nesh në nder atë ditë dhe as me më shumë pasuri. Ai tha: 'Unë jam i Dërguari i Allahut tek ju.' Na urdhëronte për gjëra që nuk i njihnim dhe na ndalonte nga ajo që ishim ne dhe baballarët tanë. Ne e urryem atë, e përgënjeshtruam dhe ia kthyem fjalën e tij, derisa doli drejt tij një popull tjetër nga ne dhe thanë: 'Ne të besojmë, të vërtetojmë dhe të ndjekim, dhe do të luftojmë këdo që të lufton ty.' Ai doli tek ata dhe ne dolëm kundër tij e e luftuam, por ai triumfoi mbi ne dhe na mundi. Ai mori nën kontroll arabët që kishte pranë dhe i luftoi derisa triumfoi mbi ta. Sikur ta dinin ata që janë pas meje nga arabët se në çfarë jetese jeni ju, nuk do të mbetej askush pa ardhur tek ju që të ndante me ju këtë jetesë që keni." Ai qeshi e pastaj tha: "I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë të vërtetën. Edhe tek ne kanë ardhur të dërguarit tanë me të njëjtën gjë që erdhi i dërguari juaj. Ne ishim në atë rrugë derisa u shfaqën mes nesh disa të rinj që filluan të vepronin mes nesh sipas epsheve të tyre dhe lanë urdhrin e Pejgamberëve. Nëse ju i përmbaheni urdhrit të Pejgamberit tuaj, nuk do t'ju luftojë askush pa e mundur ju atë, dhe nuk do t'ju sfidojë askush pa triumfuar ju mbi të. Por nëse bëni siç bëmë ne, dhe lini urdhrin e Pejgamberit tuaj, e veproni siç vepruan ata me epshet e tyre, atëherë ata (armiqtë) nuk kanë qenë më të shumtë në numër se ne dhe as më të fortë në fuqi se ne." Amr bin el-Asi tha: "Nuk kam folur me asnjë burrë më mendjemprehtë se ai."
E ka transmetuar Ebu Jala, dhe burrat e tij janë burrat e Sahihut, përveç Amr bin Alkames, i cili është i besueshëm (thikat).
