١٣٩١٠ - وَعَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ: «كَانَ إِسْلَامُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ بِعُمْرَةٍ فِي لَقَاحٍ لَهُ نِصْفَ النَّهَارِ، إِذْ طَلَعَتْ لَهُ نَعَامَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ مِثْلَ الْقُطْنِ عَلَيْهَا رَاكِبٌ عَلَيْهِ ثِيَابٌ بِيضٌ مِثْلَ الْقُطْنِ، فَقَالَ: يَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ، أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ السَّمَاءَ كَفَتْ أَحْرَاسَهَا، وَأَنَّ الْحَرْبَ جُرِّعَتْ أَنْفَاسُهَا، وَأَنَّ الْخَيْلَ وُضِعَتْ أَحْلَاسُهَا، وَأَنَّ الَّذِي نَزَلَ بِالْبِرِّ وَالْهُدَى لَفِي يَوْمِ الِاثْنَيْنِ لَيْلَةِ الثُّلَاثَاءَ صَاحِبُ النَّاقَةِ، قَالَ: فَخَرَجْتُ مَرْعُوبًا قَدْ رَاعَنِي مَا رَأَيْتُ وَسَمِعْتُ، حَتَّى جِئْتُ وَثَنًا لَنَا كَانَ يُدْعَى: الضِّمَادَ، وَكُنَّا نَعْبُدُهُ وَيُكَلِّمُ مِنْ جَوْفِهِ فَكَنَسْتُ مَا حَوْلَهُ وَتَمَسَّحْتُ بِهِ وَقَبَّلْتُهُ، فَإِذَا صَائِحٌ يَصِيحُ مِنْ جَوْفِهِ: يَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ:
قُلْ لِلْقَبَائِلِ مِنْ سُلَيْمٍ كُلِّهَا هَلَكَ الصِّمَادُ وَفَازَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ
إِنَّ الَّذِي جَاءَ بِالنُّبُوَّةِ وَالْهُدَى بَعْدَ ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ مُهْتَدِ هَلَكَ الصِّمَادُ وَكَانَ يُعْبَدُ مَرَّةً قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدِ
قَالَ: فَخَرَجْتُ مَرْعُوبًا حَتَّى جِئْتُ قَوْمِي، فَقَصَصْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِصَّةَ وَأَخْبَرْتُهُمُ الْخَبَرَ، فَخَرَجْتُ فِي ثَلَاثِمِائَةِ رَاكِبٍ مِنْ قَوْمِي مِنْ بَنِي حَارِثَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - فَدَخَلْنَا الْمَسْجِدَ، فَلَمَّا رَآنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - تَبَسَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: " يَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ، كَيْفَ كَانَ إِسْلَامُكُ؟ "، فَقَصَصْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْقِصَّةَ فَقَالَ: " صَدَقْتَ "، فَسُرَّ بِذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - قَالَ: فَأَسْلَمْتُ أَنَا وَقَوْمِي».
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ اللَّيْثِيُّ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ وَوَثَّقَهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ وَقَالَ: كَانَ مَالِكٌ يَرْضَاهُ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا.
#13910 13910 - And on the authority of Abbas ibn Mirdas al-Sulami, who said: The conversion of Abbas ibn Mirdas to Islam was that he was at Umrah among milch-camels of his at midday, when there appeared to him a white ostrich like cotton, upon which was a rider wearing white garments like cotton. He said: "O Abbas ibn Mirdas, have you not seen that the heaven has withdrawn its guards, and that war has swallowed its breaths, and that the horses have laid down their saddle-cloths, and that he who descended with righteousness and guidance is indeed on Monday, the night of Tuesday—the companion of the camel?" He said: So I departed terrified, startled by what I had seen and heard, until I came to an idol of ours that was called al-Dimad, which we used to worship and which would speak from its interior. I swept the area around it, touched it, and kissed it, when suddenly a caller cried out from its interior: "O Abbas ibn Mirdas: Tell all the tribes of Sulaym: al-Dimad has perished and the people of the Mosque have triumphed. Verily, he who brought prophethood and guidance after the son of Mary is a guided one from Quraysh. al-Dimad has perished, though he was worshipped once before the blessing upon the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)." He said: So I departed terrified until I reached my people, and I related the story to them and gave them the news. Then I set out with three hundred riders of my people from Banu Haritha to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). We entered the mosque, and when the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) saw me, he smiled and then said: "O Abbas ibn Mirdas, how was your conversion to Islam?" So I related the story to him, and he said: "You have spoken the truth," and the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was pleased by that. He said: So I and my people embraced Islam.

13910 - Dhe nga Abbas bin Mirdas es-Sulemi ka thënë: «Islami i Abbas bin Mirdasit filloi kur ai ishte me një deve të tij në mesditë, kur papritmas iu shfaq një struc i bardhë si pambuku, mbi të cilin ishte një kalorës me rroba të bardha si pambuku, i cili tha: O Abbas bin Mirdas, a nuk e ke parë se qielli i ka ndalur rojet e tij, se lufta i ka gëlltitur frymëmarrjet e saj, se kuajt i kanë hequr shalët e tyre, dhe se ai që zbriti me mirësi dhe udhëzim është në ditën e hënë, natën e së martës, pronari i devesë. Tha: Dola i tmerruar nga ajo që pashë dhe dëgjova, derisa erdha te një idhull i yni që quhej: ed-Dimad, të cilin e adhuronim dhe ai fliste nga brendësia e tij. E pastrova rreth tij, u fshiva pas tij dhe e putha, kur papritmas një thirrës thirri nga brendësia e tij:
O Abbas bin Mirdas:
Thuaju fiseve të Sulejmit të gjithëve: u shkatërrua Dimadi dhe fituan njerëzit e xhamisë
Ai që erdhi me profeci dhe udhëzim pas birit të Merjemes është i udhëzuar nga Kurejshët
U shkatërrua Dimadi që adhurohej dikur, para salavatit mbi Pejgamberin Muhamed
Tha: Dola i tmerruar derisa erdha te populli im, ua tregova historinë dhe i njoftova me lajmin. Pastaj u nisa me treqind kalorës nga populli im prej Beni Harithes te i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) dhe hymë në xhami. Kur më pa i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.), buzëqeshi dhe tha: "O Abbas bin Mirdas, si ishte islami yt?". Ia tregova historinë dhe ai tha: "Ke thënë të vërtetën". I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) u gëzua me këtë. Tha: Atëherë pranova Islamin unë dhe populli im».
E ka transmetuar Taberaniu, dhe në të është Abdullah bin Abdil-Aziz el-Lejthi, të cilin shumica e kanë konsideruar të dobët, ndërsa Seid bin Mensuri e ka konsideruar të besueshëm dhe ka thënë: Maliku ishte i kënaqur me të, ndërsa pjesa tjetër e burrave të tij janë konsideruar të besueshëm.
