Hadith #13985 - Majma al-Zawaid - The Compilation of Extra Narrations and the Source of Benefits

١٣٩٨٥ - وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - إِذَا أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ سَأَلَ عَنْهُ، فَإِنْ قِيلَ: هَدِيَّةٌ أَكَلَ، وَإِنْ قِيلَ: صَدَقَةٌ قَالَ: " كُلُوا ". وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ»، رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ.

#13985 13985 - And on the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said: "Whenever food from other than his own family was brought to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), he would inquire about it. If it was said to be a gift, he would eat; and if it was said to be charity, he would say: 'Eat,' but he himself would not eat."

13985 - Dhe nga Ebu Hurejre (r.a.) ka thënë: «Kur të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) i sillnin ushqim që nuk ishte nga familja e tij, ai pyeste për të. Nëse i thuhej: 'Është dhuratë', ai hante, e nëse i thuhej: 'Është sadaka', ai thoshte: "Hani ju", ndërsa vetë nuk hante». E ka transmetuar Ahmedi dhe burrat e tij janë burrat e Sahihut.
