#14156 14156 - And from Ya’la bin Murrah, who said: "I saw from the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) three things that no one before me saw, and no one after me shall see: I went out with him on a journey, until we were at a certain point on the road, we passed by a woman sitting with a young boy of hers. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, this is a boy who has been afflicted by a trial, and we have been afflicted through him by a trial; he is seized [by fits] during the day, I do not know how many times.' He said: 'Hand him to me.' So she lifted him up to him, and he placed him between himself and the pommel of the saddle. Then he opened the boy's mouth and spat into it three times, saying: 'In the name of Allah, I am the servant of Allah, be restrained, O enemy of Allah.' Then he handed him back to her and said: 'Meet us on the return journey at this place and inform us what he has done.' He [Ya'la] said: So we went and returned, and we found her at that place with three sheep. He asked: 'What has your boy done?' She said: 'By the One Who sent you with the truth, we have not sensed anything [of those fits] from him until this hour; so take these sheep.' He said: 'Get down and take one of them and return the rest.' He said: And I went out one day to the gardens until we reached the open, and he said: 'Look, woe to you, do you see anything that could screen me?' I said: 'I do not see anything that could screen you except for a tree that I do not think would screen you.' He said: 'And what is near it?' I said: 'A tree like it or similar to it.' He said: 'Go to them both and say: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) commands you to come together by the permission of Allah.' He said: So they came together and he went to relieve himself, then he returned and said: 'Go to them both and say: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) commands you to each return to your place.' So they returned. He said: And I was sitting with him one day when a camel came trotting until it lowered its neck before him, and then its eyes shed tears. He said: 'Woe to you! Look for whom this camel belongs to? Indeed, it has a story.' So I went out seeking its owner and found him to be a man from the Ansar and I called him to him. He [the Prophet] asked: 'What is the matter with this camel of yours?' He said: 'And what is its matter? I do not know, by Allah, what its matter is. We worked it and used it for irrigation until it became incapable of carrying water, so we conferred last night to slaughter it and distribute its meat.' He said: 'Do not do that; give it to me as a gift or sell it to me.' He replied: 'Rather, it is yours, O Messenger of Allah.' He [Ya'la] said: Then he marked it with the brand of charity and sent it off."
