- وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - يَقُولُ: " مَا
مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا تُقْبَضُ نَفْسُهُ، ثُمَّ يَرَى الثَّوَابَ، ثُمَّ
تُرَدُّ إِلَيْهِ فَتُخَيَّرُ بَيْنَ أَنْ تُرَدَّ إِلَيْهِ إِلَى أَنْ
يَلْحَقَ ".
فَكُنْتُ قَدْ حَفِظْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ، فَإِنِّي
لَمُسْنِدَتُهُ إِلَى صَدْرِي فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ حَتَّى مَالَتْ
عُنُقُهُ، فَقُلْتُ: قَدْ قُضِيَ. قَالَتْ: فَعَرَفْتُ الَّذِي قَالَ.
قَالَتْ: فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ حَتَّى ارْتَفَعَ وَنَظَرَ، قُلْتُ: إِذًا
لَا يَخْتَارُنَا، فَقَالَ: مَعَ الرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى فِي الْجَنَّةِ
مَعَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ إِلَى آخَرِ الْآيَةِ.

14268 - And from Aisha, she said: "The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) used to say: 'There is no prophet whose soul is taken but that he sees the reward, then it is returned to him and he is given the choice between being returned to it and joining [the Highest Companion].' I had memorized that from him. While I was supporting him against my chest, I looked at him until his neck tilted, and I said: 'He has passed away.' She said: 'Then I recognized that which he had said.' She said: 'Then I looked at him until he looked up and gazed, and I said: 'In that case, he will not choose us.' He then said: 'With the Highest Companion in Paradise, with the prophets and the truthful...' to the end of the verse."
14268 - Dhe nga Aishja transmetohet se ka thënë: «I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) thoshte: "Nuk ka asnjë pejgamber të cilit nuk i merret shpirti, pastaj e sheh shpërblimin, pastaj i kthehet (shpirti) dhe i jepet zgjedhja mes të kthyerit (në këtë botë) ose të bashkohet (me shoqërinë e lartë)".
Unë e kisha mbajtur mend këtë prej tij. Kur isha duke e mbështetur atë në gjoksin tim, e pashë derisa iu anua qafa, e thashë: Tashmë ndërroi jetë. Ajo tha: Atëherë e kuptova atë që kishte thënë. Ajo tha: E pashë derisa u ngrit dhe shikoi, e thashë: Atëherë ai nuk na zgjedh ne. Ai tha: Me shoqërinë e lartë në Xhenet, me pejgamberët dhe të sinqertët... deri në fund të ajetit."
