- وَبِسَنَدِهِ عَنْ أَبِي مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ سَعْدٌ: «يَا رَسُولَ
اللَّهِ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَيْمَنَ وَهُوَ فَارٌّ مِنَ الْقِتَالِ،
فَعَرَفْتُ فِي وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - الْكَرَاهِيَةَ. قَالَ
سَعْدٌ: مَا رَأَيْتُ خُطْبَةً أَبْعَدَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ، ثُمَّ
إِنَّهُمُ احْتَضَرُوا الْقِتَالَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ: لَقَدْ
رَأَيْتُ أَيْمَنَ أَعَنَتَ الْقَوْمَ، فَأَعْجَبَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ
-. قَالَ: فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ لِأَيْمَنَ: لَقَدْ حُدِّثْتُ
أَنَّكَ [لَا] تَقُومُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَّيْنِ جُبْنًا، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي
لِأَرْجُوَ أَنْ أَقُومَ مَقَامًا يُحِبُّهُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، فَقَالَ
عُمَرُ: إِنَّكَ لِخَلِيقٌ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ».
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِسَنَدِ الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ.

15667 - And with his chain of narrators from Abu Maysarah, who said that Sa'd said: "O Messenger of Allah, I saw Ayman while he was fleeing from the battle," and I recognized dislike in the face of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). Sa'd said: "I have never seen a speech further from all good [than that speech of mine]." Then, they were present at the battle after that, and Sa'd said: "I saw Ayman exhausting the enemy, and that pleased the Prophet (pbuh)." He said: Umar ibn al-Khattab then said to Ayman: "I have been told that you would [not] stand between the two ranks due to cowardice." He replied: "Indeed, I hope to stand in a position that Allah and His Messenger love." Umar said: "You are indeed worthy of doing so."
15667 - Dhe me zinxhirin e tij të transmetimit nga Ebu Mejsere, ka thënë Sa'di: «O i Dërguari i Allahut, e pashë Ejmenin duke ikur nga lufta, dhe vërejta në fytyrën e të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) urrejtjen (për këtë veprim). Sa'di tha: Nuk kam parë fjalim më të largët nga çdo e mirë (se ai i asaj dite). Pastaj, ata u kthyen në luftë pas kësaj, dhe Sa'di tha: E pashë Ejmenin duke i ndihmuar njerëzit, dhe kjo e gëzoi Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.). Ai tha: Atëherë Omer ibn el-Hattabi i tha Ejmenit: Jam informuar se ti [nuk] qëndron mes dy rreshtave nga frika. Ai u përgjigj: Unë shpresoj të qëndroj në një vend që e do Allahu dhe i Dërguari i Tij. Omeri tha: Ti je i denjë ta bësh këtë».
