- وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: كَانَ إِسْلَامُ عَمْرِو بْنِ
الْعَاصِ، وَخَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ، وَعُثْمَانَ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عِنْدَ
النَّجَاشِيِّ، فَقَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ فِي صَفَرٍ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ مِنَ
الْهِجْرَةِ. قُلْتُ: إِسْلَامُهُمْ فِي يَوْمٍ وَاحِدٍ مَعْرُوفٍ،
وَأَمَّا إِسْلَامُ خَالِدٍ وَعُثْمَانَ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عِنْدَ
النَّجَاشِيِّ فَلَمْ أَجِدْهُ إِلَّا عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ مِنْ قَوْلِهِ.
وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.

15892 - And on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: The conversion to Islam of 'Amr ibn al-'As, Khalid ibn al-Walid, and 'Uthman ibn Talhah took place in the presence of the Negus, and they arrived in Medina in the month of Safar in the eighth year of the Hijrah.
15892 - Dhe nga Muhamed bin Is'haku ka thënë: Pranimi i Islamit nga Amr bin el-Asi, Halid bin el-Velidi dhe Uthman bin Talha ishte te Nexhashiu, dhe ata erdhën në Medine në Safar të vitit të tetë të hixhretit. Unë thashë: Pranimi i tyre i Islamit në të njëjtën ditë është i njohur, ndërsa sa i përket pranimit të Islamit nga Halidi dhe Uthman bin Talha te Nexhashiu, nuk e kam gjetur këtë përveçse nga thënia e Ibn Is'hakut.
