- عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: «كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - إِذْ جَاءَ
حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، فَجَلَسَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - ﷺ -
فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، الْإِيمَانُ هَهُنَا، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى
لِسَانِهِ، وَالنِّفَاقُ هَهُنَا، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ، وَلَا
يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا، فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ -
فَرَدَّدَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ حَرْمَلَةُ، فَأَخَذَ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ - بِطَرَفِ
لِسَانِ حَرْمَلَةَ، فَقَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لَهُ لِسَانًا
صَادِقًا، وَقَلْبًا شَاكِرًا، وَارْزُقْهُ حُبِّي وَحَبَّ مَنْ
يُحِبُّنِي، وَصَيِّرْ أَمْرَهُ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ ". فَقَالَ حَرْمَلَةُ:
يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنْ لِي إِخْوَانًا مُنَافِقِينَ كُنْتُ فِيهِمْ
رَأْسًا، أَلَا أَدُلَّكَ عَلَيْهِمْ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ -: " مَنْ
جَاءَنَا كَمَا جِئْتَنَا اسْتَغْفَرْنَا لَهُ كَمَا اسْتَغْفَرْنَا لَكَ،
وَمَنْ أَصَرَّ عَلَى ذَنْبِهِ فَاللَّهُ أَوْلَى بِهِ، وَلَا نَخْرِقُ
عَلَى أَحَدٍ سِتْرًا» ".
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ.

16147 - On the authority of Ibn Umar, who said: "I was with the Prophet (pbuh) when Harmalah ibn Zayd came and sat before the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, faith is here'—and he pointed to his tongue—'and hypocrisy is here'—and he pointed to his chest—'and he does not remember Allah except a little.' The Prophet (pbuh) remained silent toward him, so Harmalah repeated that to him. Then the Prophet (pbuh) took hold of the tip of Harmalah's tongue and said: 'O Allah, grant him a truthful tongue and a grateful heart, and provide him with my love and the love of those who love me, and direct his affairs toward goodness.' Harmalah then said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have brothers who are hypocrites among whom I was a leader; shall I not point them out to you?' The Prophet (pbuh) said: 'Whoever comes to us as you have come, we shall seek forgiveness for him as we have sought forgiveness for you, and whoever persists in his sin, then Allah has more right over him, and we shall not tear away anyone's veil [of concealment].'"
16147 - Nga Ibn Umeri transmetohet se ka thënë: «Isha te Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) kur erdhi Harmale bin Zejdi, u ul para të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) dhe tha: O i Dërguari i Allahut, besimi është këtu – dhe bëri me shenjë nga gjuha e tij – ndërsa hipokrizia është këtu – dhe bëri me shenjë nga gjoksi i tij – dhe ai nuk e përmend Allahun përveçse pak. Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) heshti, ndërsa Harmale e përsëriti këtë. Atëherë Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) e kapi Harmalen për maje të gjuhës dhe tha: "O Allah, bëja atij një gjuhë të vërtetë, një zemër falënderuese, furnizoje me dashurinë time dhe dashurinë e atij që më do mua, dhe ktheje çështjen e tij drejt së mirës". Harmale tha: O i Dërguari i Allahut, unë kam vëllezër munafikë (hipokritë) mes të cilëve isha kryetar, a t'i tregoj ata? Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Kush vjen tek ne ashtu siç erdhe ti, ne kërkojmë falje për të ashtu siç kërkuam falje për ty, e kush këmbëngul në mëkatin e tij, Allahu merret me të, dhe ne nuk ia grisim mbulesën (sekretin) askujt"».
