٤٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ (20)، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُسْلِيِّ ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ: «ضِفْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَشْعَثُ، احْفَظْ عَنِّي ثَلَاثًا حَفِظْتُهُنَّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ: لَا تَسْأَلِ الرَّجُلَ فِيمَ ضَرَبَ امْرَأَتَهُ، وَلَا تَنَامَنَّ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ وَنَسِيتُ الثَّالِثَةَ».

#47 47 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Dawud ibn 'Abdullah (20), from 'Abd al-Rahman al-Musli, from al-Ash'ath ibn Qays, who said: "I stayed as a guest with 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, and he said: 'O Ash'ath, preserve from me three things that I preserved from the Messenger of Allah (pbuh): Do not ask a man why he struck his wife, do not sleep except after performing Witr, and I have forgotten the third.'"

(20) In the Dar al-Ma'rifah edition, there is the addition of (al-Awdi).

47 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Avane, nga Davud bin Abdullahu (20), nga Abdurrahman el-Musliju, nga el-Esh'ath bin Kajsi, i cili ka thënë:

«Isha mysafir te Omer bin el-Hatabi, e ai më tha: O Esh'ath, mbaji mend prej meje tri gjëra që i kam mbajtur mend nga i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.): Mos e pyet burrin se përse e ka rrahur gruan e tij, mos fli pa e falur vitrin, ndërsa të tretën e kam harruar».

(20) Në botimin e Dar el-Ma'rifeh ka një shtesë (el-Evdi).
