٢٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ: «قَدْ جَاءَ ابْنُ النَّوَّاحَةِ وَابْنُ أُثَالٍ رَسُولَيْنِ لِمُسَيْلِمَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ لَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: تَشْهَدَانِ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَا: نَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُسَيْلِمَةَ رَسُولُ اللهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَرُسُلِهِ، لَوْ كُنْتُ قَاتِلًا رَسُولًا لَقَتَلْتُكُمَا»، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ : فَمَضَتِ السُّنَّةُ بِأَنَّ الرُّسُلَ لَا تُقْتَلُ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: فَأَمَّا ابْنُ أُثَالٍ فَقَدْ كَفَانَا اللهُ، وَأَمَّا ابْنُ النَّوَّاحَةِ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ فِي نَفْسِي حَتَّى أَمْكَنَ اللهُ تَعَالَى مِنْهُ.
#248 248 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Mas'udi narrated to us, from 'Asim, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, who said: "Ibn al-Nawwahah and Ibn Uthal came as two messengers from Musaylimah to the Messenger of Allah (saw). The Messenger of Allah (saw) said to them: 'Do you bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah?' They replied: 'We bear witness that Musaylimah is the messenger of Allah.' The Messenger of Allah (saw) then said: 'I believe in Allah and His messengers; if I were to kill a messenger, I would have killed you both.'"

'Abdullah said: "Thus the Sunnah was established that messengers are not to be killed."

'Abdullah said: "As for Ibn Uthal, Allah sufficed us against him; but as for Ibn al-Nawwahah, he remained in my mind until Allah the Exalted enabled us to deal with him."

248 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar El-Mes'udi, nga Asimi, nga Ebu Vaili, nga Abdullah bin Mes'udi, i cili ka thënë:
«Erdhën Ibnun-Nevvaha dhe Ibn Uthali si dy të dërguar të Musejlemes te Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.), e Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) u tha atyre: "A dëshmoni se unë jam i dërguari i Allahut?" Ata thanë: "Ne dëshmojmë se Musejleme është i dërguari i Allahut." Atëherë Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Besova në Allahun dhe të dërguarit e Tij. Sikur të isha vrasës i të dërguarve (emisarëve), do t'ju vrisja ju të dyve."»
Abdullahu ka thënë: "Kështu mbeti suneti (rregulli) që të dërguarit nuk vriten."
Abdullahu ka thënë: "Sa i përket Ibn Uthalit, Allahu na mjaftoi kundër tij, ndërsa për Ibnun-Nevvahan, ai mbeti gjithmonë në mendjen time derisa Allahu i Madhëruar na dha mundësinë (për ta kapur) atë."
