٣٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ الْبَطِينُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ: «اخْتَلَفْتُ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ سَنَةً، لَا أَسْمَعُهُ يَقُولُ فِيهَا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ جَرَى ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ حَدِيثٌ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَعَلَاهُ كَرْبٌ، وَجَعَلَ الْعَرَقُ يَنْحَدِرُ عَنْ عَيْنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِمَّا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ، وَإِمَّا دُونَ ذَلِكَ، وَإِمَّا قَرِيبًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ».

- Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Mas'udi narrated to us, he said: Muslim al-Batin narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Maymun, who said:
"I frequented 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud for a year, and I did not hear him say during it: 'The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,' except that one day a narration occurred, so he said: 'The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,' then he was overcome with distress, and sweat began to flow from his eyes, then he said: 'Either more than that, or less than that, or something close to that.'"

324 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar El-Mes'udiu, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Muslim el-Betini, nga Amër bin Mejmuni, i cili ka thënë:

«Kam shkuar te Abdullah bin Mes'udi për një vit rresht dhe nuk e kam dëgjuar të thotë: 'Ka thënë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.)', përveçse një ditë kur po tregonte një hadith, e tha: 'Ka thënë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.)'. Atëherë e kaploi një shqetësim i madh dhe djersët filluan t'i rridhnin nga sytë, pastaj tha: 'Ose pak më shumë se kjo, ose pak më pak se kjo, ose diçka e përafërt me këtë'».
