٥٤٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ زِرٍّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ : «يَا زِرُّ، كَأَيِّنْ تَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ الْأَحْزَابِ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: كَذَا وَكَذَا آيَةً، قَالَ: إِنْ كَانَتْ لَتُضَاهِي سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ، وَإِنْ كُنَّا لَنَقْرَأُ فِيهَا: (وَالشَّيْخُ وَالشَّيْخَةُ إِذَا زَنَيَا فَارْجُمُوهُمَا أَلْبَتَّةَ نَكَالًا مِنَ اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ)، فَرُفِعَ فِيمَا رُفِعَ».

Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from 'Asim, from Zirr, who said: Ubayy ibn Ka'b said to me: "O Zirr, how many verses do you read in Surah al-Ahzab?" He said: I said: Such and such verses. He said: "It used to be comparable to Surah al-Baqarah, and we used to read in it: (The old man and the old woman, if they commit adultery, stone them both certainly as a punishment from Allah and His Messenger), then it was abrogated among what was abrogated."

- Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibn Fadale, nga Asimi, nga Zirri, i cili ka thënë: Më ka thënë Ubej b. Ke'bi: «O Zirr, sa (ajete) i lexon në suren el-Ahzab?» Tha: I thashë: Aq e aq ajete. Ai tha: «Ajo ishte e barabartë me suren el-Bekare, dhe ne lexonim në të: (Plaku dhe plakja, nëse bëjnë zina, gurëzojini ata patjetër, si ndëshkim nga Allahu dhe i Dërguari i Tij), pastaj u shfuqizua bashkë me atë që u shfuqizua».
