572 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Ya'la bin 'Ata, from Al-Walid bin 'Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Idris al-Khawlani, who said: "I entered the mosque and there were about twenty of the companions of the Prophet (pbuh), and among them was a man with deep black eyes and bright front teeth. Whenever they differed about something, he would speak a word and they would defer to his opinion. I asked about him, and it was Mu'adh bin Jabal. When it was the next day, I entered the mosque and found him standing praying towards a pillar, so I sat by him. When I did that, he shortened his prayer, so I said: 'By Allah, I love you for the sake of Allah's Majesty.' He said: 'By Allah?' I said: 'By Allah.' He said: 'Then indeed, those who love each other for the sake of Allah's Majesty will be in the shade of Allah (AZJ) - he said: I think he said
(140) on the Day of Resurrection - on the day when there is no shade but His shade; the Prophets, the martyrs, and the righteous will envy them for their proximity to Allah.'

572 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shu'be, nga Ja'la bin Ata, nga el-Velid bin Abdurrahman, nga Ebu Idris el-Aidhi, i cili ka thënë: «Hyra në xhami dhe aty ishin rreth njëzet nga shokët e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.). Në mesin e tyre ishte një burrë me sy shumë të zinj dhe dhëmbë të bardhë e të shndritshëm. Kur ata kishin mospajtime për diçka, ai thoshte një fjalë dhe ata përfundonin te fjala e tij. Pyeta për të dhe më treguan se ai ishte Muadh bin Xhebeli. Të nesërmen hyra në xhami dhe ai ishte duke u falur pranë një shtylle. U ula pranë tij dhe kur e bëra këtë, ai e shkurtoi namazin e tij. (140) në Ditën e Kiametit - në ditën kur nuk ka hije tjetër përveç hijes së Tij. Pejgamberët, dëshmorët dhe të devotshmit do t'ua kenë lakmi atyre për afërsinë e tyre me Allahun.»
