٨٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ وَقَيْسٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ: «قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ : أَكُنْتَ تُجَالِسُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، كَانَ طَوِيلَ الصَّمْتِ قَلِيلَ الضَّحِكِ، وَكَانَ أَصْحَابُهُ رُبَّمَا تَنَاشَدُوا عِنْدَهُ الشِّعْرَ وَالشَّيْءَ مِنْ أُمُورِهِمْ فَيَضْحَكُونَ، وَرُبَّمَا تَبَسَّمَ».
#808 808 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Sharik and Qays narrated to us, from Simak ibn Harb, who said: "I said to Jabir ibn Samurah: 'Did you used to sit with the Prophet (pbuh)?' He said: 'Yes, he was long in silence and little in laughter. His companions would sometimes recite poetry in his presence and discuss matters of their affairs and laugh, and he would sometimes smile.'"

- Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Sheriku dhe Kajsi, nga Simak bin Harbi, i cili ka thënë: «I thashë Xhabir bin Semurës: A uleshe me Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.)? Ai tha: Po, ai qëndronte gjatë në heshtje dhe qeshte pak. Shokët e tij ndonjëherë recitonin poezi para tij dhe bisedonin për çështjet e tyre duke qeshur, ndërsa ai ndonjëherë buzëqeshte».
