Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: 'Uyaynah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from his father, who said: "I was at the funeral of 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Samurah, and Ziyad and some of his freedmen began walking on their heels in front of the bier
(207) saying: 'Slowly, slowly, may Allah bless you!' He said: Then Abu Bakrah caught up with them in one of the streets of al-Mirbad, and he charged at them on his mule and struck at them with a whip, saying: 'Make way! By the One who honored the face of Abu al-Qasim (saw), I saw us during the time of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and we would almost jog with it (the funeral bier)."

Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ujejne bin Abdurrahmani, nga babai i tij, i cili ka thënë: «Isha në xhenazen e Abdurrahman bin Semures, ndërsa Zijadi dhe disa burra prej liruesve të tij filluan të ecnin mbrapsht (mbi thembrat e tyre) para tabutit
(207)» duke thënë: Ngadalë, ngadalë, Allahu ju bekoftë! Ai tha: Atëherë i arriti Ebu Bekre në një nga rrugicat e Mirbedit, i sulmoi me mushkën e tij dhe i goditi fort me kamxhik, duke thënë: Hapni rrugën! Pasha Atë që e nderoi fytyrën e Ebu Kasimit (s.a.v.s.), ne në kohën e të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) pothuajse vraponim me të (xhenazen).
