١١٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ عَدِيَّ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ يَقُولُ: «لَمَّا قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ وَقَدْ كَانَ يَبْلُغُنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - يَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللهُ يَدَهُ فِي يَدِي، قَالَ: فَانْطَلَقَ بِي إِلَى رَحْلِهِ وَأَلْقَتْ لَنَا الْجَارِيَةُ وِسَادَةً - أَوْ قَالَ: بِسَاطًا - فَجَلَسْنَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَتُنْكِرُ أَنْ يُقَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ؟ فَهَلْ مِنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُ اللهِ؟، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: فَتُنْكِرُ أَنْ يُقَالَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ؟ فَهَلْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ اللهِ؟، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ الْيَهُودَ مَغْضُوبٌ عَلَيْهِمْ، وَالنَّصَارَى ضَالُّونَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَإِنِّي مُسْلِمٌ. قَالَ: فَرَأَيْتُ وَجْهَ رَسُولِ اللهِ - ﷺ - اسْتَبْشَرَ لِذَلِكَ أَوِ اسْتَنَارَ لِذَلِكَ».
#1135 1135 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: 'Amr ibn Thabit narrated to us, from Simak ibn Harb, from someone who heard 'Adi ibn Hatim saying:

"When I arrived in Madinah, it had reached me that the Messenger of Allah (saw) was saying: 'I hope that Allah will place his hand in my hand.' He said: So he took me to his dwelling, and the young girl threw a cushion for us—or he said: a carpet—and we sat down. Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'Do you deny that it should be said: There is no god but Allah? For is there any god other than Allah?' He said: I said: 'No.' He said: 'Do you deny that it should be said: Allah is the Greatest? For is there anything greater than Allah?' He said: I said: 'No.' He said: 'Indeed, the Jews are those who have earned [divine] anger, and the Christians are those who are astray.' He said: I said: 'Then I am a Muslim.' He said: And I saw the face of the Messenger of Allah (saw) rejoice at that, or it lit up at that."

1135 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Amër bin Thabiti, nga Simak bin Harbi, nga ai që ka dëgjuar Adij bin Hatimin duke thënë:
«Kur erdha në Medine, më kishte arritur lajmi se i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) thoshte: 'Vërtet, unë shpresoj që Allahu ta vendosë dorën e tij në dorën time'. Ai tha: Atëherë më mori me vete në banesën e tij dhe shërbëtorja na shtroi një jastëk - ose tha: një shtrojë - dhe u ulëm. Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: 'A e mohon të thuhet: Nuk ka zot tjetër përveç Allahut? A ka ndonjë zot tjetër përveç Allahut?'. Tha: Thashë: Jo. Ai tha: 'A e mohon të thuhet: Allahu është më i Madhi? A ka diçka më të madhe se Allahu?'. Tha: Thashë: Jo. Ai tha: 'Vërtet, ndaj jehudive është zemërimi (i Allahut), ndërsa të krishterët janë të humbur'. Tha: Thashë: Unë jam musliman. Tha: Atëherë pashë fytyrën e të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) se si u gëzua për këtë, ose u ndriçua për këtë».
