Musnad al-Tayalisi » Shaddad ibn Aws from the Prophet ﷺ
١٢١٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «الْكَيِّسُ مَنْ دَانَ نَفْسَهُ وَعَمِلَ لِمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ، وَالْعَاجِزُ مَنْ أَتْبَعَ نَفْسَهُ هَوَاهَا وَتَمَنَّى عَلَى اللهِ».
#1218 1218 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, he said: Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam narrated to us, from Damrah bin Habib, from Shaddad bin Aws, he said: The Prophet (pbuh) said:
'The wise person is the one who holds himself accountable and works for what comes after death, and the helpless person is the one who follows his desires and yet has vain hopes in Allah.'

1218 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibnul Mubareku, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Bekr bin Ebi Merjem, nga Damre bin Habibi, nga Shedad bin Evsi, i cili ka thënë: Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë:

«I mençur është ai që e llogarit veten e tij dhe punon për atë që vjen pas vdekjes, ndërsa i pafuqishëm është ai që e bën veten të pasojë epshet e saj dhe ushqen shpresa të kota te Allahu.»
