- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ،
عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ: «خَطَبَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ
فَقَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ: أَلَا وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي لَسَابِعَ سَبْعَةٍ مَعَ
رَسُولِ اللهِ - ﷺ - مَا لَنَا طَعَامٌ قَرِيبًا مِنْ شَهْرٍ إِلَّا
وَرَقُ الشَّجَرِ حَتَّى قَرِحَتْ أَشْدَاقُنَا مِنْهُ».

Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Khalid ibn 'Umayr, who said: 'Utbah ibn Ghazwan addressed us and said in his sermon: 'Indeed, I saw myself as the seventh of seven with the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). We had no food for nearly a month except the leaves of trees, until the corners of our mouths became sore from it.'
1372 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Sulejman bin el-Mugira, nga Humejd bin Hilali, nga Halid bin Umejri, i cili ka thënë:
«Na mbajti hytbe Utbe bin Gazvani dhe në hytben e tij tha: 'Vini re, unë e kam parë veten si i shtati prej shtatë vetave me të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.). Nuk kishim ushqim për gati një muaj, përveç gjetheve të pemëve, derisa na u plagosën anët e gojës prej tyre'.»
