١٥٩٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِيَاسُ بْنُ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، «أَنَّ رَجُلًا ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ ، فَلَعَنَتْهُ - أَوْ سَبَّتْهُ - فَقِيلَ لَهَا: إِنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ، فَقَالَتْ: أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لَهُ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا: يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَعَنْتِيهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَغْفَرْتِ لَهُ! فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: لَا تَذْكُرُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ».
#1597 1597 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Iyas ibn Abi Tamimah narrated to us, from 'Ata', that a man was mentioned in the presence of 'Aishah, and she cursed him - or reviled him - so it was said to her: 'He has died.' She said: 'I seek Allah's forgiveness for him.' It was said to her: 'O Mother of the Believers, you cursed him and then you sought forgiveness for him!' She said: 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: Do not mention your dead except with good.'

- Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ijas bin Ebi Temime, nga Ata-i, se një burrë u përmend te Aishja, dhe ajo e mallkoi atë - ose e shau - e pastaj iu tha asaj: "Ai ka vdekur." Ajo tha: "I kërkoj falje Allahut për të." Atëherë iu tha asaj: "O nëna e besimtarëve, ti e mallkove atë e pastaj kërkove falje për të!" Ajo tha: "Vërtet i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: 'Mos i përmendni të vdekurit tuaj përveçse për të mirë'."
