- حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ،
قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّادٍ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: «لَمَّا كَانَتْ وَفَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ،
وَأَرَادُوا غَسْلَهُ، وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ النَّوْمُ، حَتَّى إِنَّ يَدَ
كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ عِنْدَ ذَقْنِهِ، فَنُودُوا مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ
الْبَيْتِ: أَنِ اغْسِلُوهُ فَوْقَ ثِيَابِهِ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَلَوِ
اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ، مَا غَسَّلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
إِلَّا نِسَاؤُهُ».

1634 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from Ibn 'Abbad, from 'Aishah, she said: "When the Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away and they intended to wash him, sleep overcame them until the hand of every one of them was at his chin. Then they were called from a corner of the house: 'Wash him over his clothes.' 'Aishah said: 'If I had known then what I know now, no one would have washed the Messenger of Allah (saw) except his wives.'"
1634 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Hammad bin Seleme, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Muhamed bin Is'haku, nga Ibn Abbadi, nga Aishja, e cila ka thënë: «Kur erdhi vdekja e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) dhe deshën ta lanin atë, i zuri gjumi, aq sa mjekra e secilit prej tyre ra mbi gjoksin e tij. Atëherë u thirrën nga një anë e shtëpisë: 'Lajeni atë mbi rrobat e tij'. Aishja ka thënë: 'Sikur ta kisha ditur më parë atë që e mësova më vonë, Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.) nuk do ta lante kush tjetër përveç grave të tij'.»
