- حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ جَبْرِ
بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، «أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ
تُصَلِّي، فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: عَلَيْكِ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ
بِالْكَوَامِلِ الْجَوَامِعِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَتْ سَأَلَتْهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ،
فَقَالَ: قُولِي: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ،
مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ
كُلِّهِ؛ مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ
النَّارِ وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا - أَوْ قَرَّبَ مِنْهَا - مِنْ قَوْلٍ
أَوْ عَمَلٍ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَا قَرَّبَ
إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ، اللَّهُمَّ وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ
الْخَيْرِ مَا سَأَلَكَ عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ مُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ
مِنْ شَرِّ مَا اسْتَعَاذَكَ مِنْهُ عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ مُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ،
وَمَا قَضَيْتَ لِي مِنْ قَضَاءٍ - أَوْ قَالَ: مِنْ أَمْرٍ - فَاجْعَلْ
عَاقِبَتَهُ لِي رَشَدًا».

1674 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Jabr bin Habib, from Umm Kulthum, from 'Aishah, "that she was praying, and the Prophet (pbuh) said to her: 'You should use the comprehensive and all-encompassing supplications.' When she finished, she asked him about that, and he said: 'Say: O Allah, I ask You for all good, that which I know of and that which I do not know, and I seek refuge in You from all evil, that which I know of and that which I do not know. And I seek refuge in You from the Fire and whatever brings one closer to it - or he said: closer from it - of speech or action. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and whatever brings one closer to it of speech or action. O Allah, and I ask You for the good that Your servant and Messenger Muhammad (pbuh) asked of You, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that Your servant and Messenger Muhammad (pbuh) sought refuge from. And whatever decree You have ordained for me - or he said: of a matter - then make its outcome for me right guidance.'"
1674 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shube, nga Xhebr bin Habib, nga Umm Kulthum, nga Aisha, se ajo ishte duke u falur, kur Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) i tha asaj: "Përdor lutjet përmbledhëse dhe gjithëpërfshirëse." Kur ajo përfundoi, e pyeti atë për këtë, dhe ai i tha: Thuaj: "O Allah, unë kërkoj prej Teje të gjithë të mirën, atë që e di dhe atë që nuk e di, dhe kërkoj mbrojtje tek Ti nga e gjithë e keqja, atë që e di dhe atë që nuk e di. Kërkoj mbrojtje tek Ti nga Zjarri dhe çdo gjë që të afron tek ai - ose që afron prej tij - qoftë fjalë apo vepër. O Allah, unë kërkoj prej Teje Xhenetin dhe çdo gjë që të afron tek ai, qoftë fjalë apo vepër. O Allah, unë kërkoj prej Teje të mirën që ka kërkuar robi Yt dhe i Dërguari Yt Muhamedi (s.a.v.s.), dhe kërkoj mbrojtje tek Ti nga e keqja prej së cilës ka kërkuar mbrojtje robi Yt dhe i Dërguari Yt Muhamedi (s.a.v.s.). Dhe çfarëdo që të kesh caktuar për mua nga caktimi - ose tha: nga çështja - bëje përfundimin e saj udhëzim për mua."
