١٨١٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ: «لَمَّا جِيءَ بِأَبِي يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، وَجَاءَتْ عَمَّتِي تَبْكِي عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلْتُ أَبْكِي، وَجَعَلَ الْقَوْمُ يَنْهَوْنَنِي، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَنْهَانِي، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: ابْكُوهُ أَوْ لَا تَبْكُوهُ، فَوَاللهِ مَا زَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تُظِلُّهُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا حَتَّى دَفَنْتُمُوهُ».
#1817 1817 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, he said: I heard Jabir saying:

"When my father was brought on the day of Uhud, and my aunt came weeping over him, he said: So I started to weep, and the people started to forbid me, but the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) did not forbid me. Then the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: 'Weep for him or do not weep for him, for by Allah, the angels did not cease to shade him with their wings until you buried him.'"

1817 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shube, nga Muhamed bin el-Munkediri, i cili ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar Xhabirin duke thënë:

«Kur u soll babai im ditën e Uhudit, erdhi halla ime duke qarë për të. Ai tha: Fillova të qaj, ndërsa njerëzit filluan të më ndalonin, por i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) nuk më ndalonte. Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: 'Qajeni ose mos e qani, pasha Allahun, melaiket nuk kanë pushuar së bëri hije mbi të me krahët e tyre derisa e varrosët'.»
